This music video is great because it uses a reality show host, which mirrors Jeremy Kyle demonizing the working class
He is then seen doing almost exactly the same thing as he describes them to do, with many things even worse.
This shows that the negative things like this that the media usually associates with the working class, do not just happen in this social class.
Chase and status help prove a strong point in the problems with media and I really enjoy watching their videos as they take very important social problems and represent things that many people do not have the courage to.

This Chase and status video is to provide awareness of abuse in relationships
It actually challenges the stereotype that this usually happens in working class families.
This is done by making it set in a middle class family, although it does follow the norm of using a nuclear family in this video, it still challenges the idea that this only happens in working class families

Benefits street is a classic example of the demonization of
the working class
They specifically picked out a certain few people out of
loads of families filmed on benefits
These people are depicted as scroungers and disgusting,
the people featured on benefits street even received death
threats as a response to benefits street

“White Dee” even gained celebrity status (or enough of one to
feature on celebrity big brother) due to her appearance on
benefits street
This can be interpreted in a good or bad way, it could be
interpreted in that through having such an infamous status that
she is kind of an ‘anti-celebrity’
It could also be interpreted that it is good as it challenges the
idea that a ‘normal’ person cannot be a celebrity
