Representing fractions using models & Number Lines
Bump Game
Grades
3-4
Materials: 2 dice, 10 markers in one color and 10 in another color Directions: Take turns with your partner following the directions below. Roll two dice. Find the sum and look for the number below. Find the corresponding fraction represented on the game mat and cover it with a marker. If you roll a fraction that’s already been covered by your partner, you can BUMP him/her off by replacing it with your marker. If you roll a fraction that you’ve already covered yourself, you can place a second marker and “lock” it so it can’t be bumped by your partner. The first player to use all 10 of his/her markers wins.
