ADDENDUM # 2
This addendum shall be incorporated into, and form part of RFP #15 (2016-06) and take precedence over all
requirements of the previously issued bid documents including plans. This addendum must be signed by the
bidder (signing officer) in the appropriate space and must be attached to the Form for submission by the
bidder. This Addendum consists of one (1) page and the documents listed below.
1. Closing Date- Revised:
Original Closing date – Friday, 2016-07-29 by 1200 hours (noon), local time.
Revised closing date - Friday, 2016-08-05 by 1200 hours (noon), local time.
2. Proponent’s question deadline- Revised:
Original Proponent’s question deadline - Thursday 2016-07-21 by 4:00 p.m.
Revised Proponent’s question deadline -Thursday 2016-07-28 by 4:00 p.m.
3. Add Drawings:

4. Exhibit Size:
The existing Gaur exhibit size is approximately 1300 SM.
5. QUESTION
Can the Toronto Zoo share with the bidders the names and/or the organizational roles of the
individuals who will be on the RFP evaluation team?
ANSWER
At this point we have not determined members of the evaluation team who will be involved with the
proposal reviews.
6. QUESTION
Has the Toronto Zoo considered the use of the OAA 600-2013 standard client/architect contract that
has been developed as a client/owner friendly contract? This OAA document will also facilitate a
consistency between the client/architect contract and the construction contract (CCDC contract) that
is essential when the architect is to provide services during construction.
ANSWER
No, we have not. The Toronto Zoo’s standard sample agreement was attached with the RFP issued.

7. QUESTION
Does the Toronto Zoo have preferred cost consultant they deal with, or is costing done internally
within the organization?
ANSWER
No, we do not have a preferred cost consultant. Cost consulting is not done internally this would
have to be included as part of your submission.
8. QUESTION
Will the Toronto Zoo disclose the other bidders names to all proponents?
ANSWER
The Toronto Zoo can provide the name of the bidders issued the RFP.
Receipt of the Addendum shall be acknowledged as part of your submission.
The Board of Management of the Toronto Zoo reserves the right to reject any or all Quotations or to accept
any quotation, should it deem such action to be in its interests.

ACCORDANCE WITH THE MOST UP TO DATE
ONTARIO BUILDING CODE (IF APPLICABLE).
2. ALL DIMENSIONS ARE TO BE VERIFIED ON SITE.
DO NOT SCALE THESE DRAWINGS.
3. ANY DISCREPANCIES MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE
ATTENTION OF THE TORONTO ZOO.
4. CONTRACTORS MUST ADHERE TO TORONTO ZOO
POLICIES AND OH&S ACT AT ALL TIMES WHEN
ON ZOO PROPERTY.
5. CONTRACTORS ARE TO CHECK IN AND OUT AT

EXITING ZOO PROPERTY.
6. ADJACENT AREAS MUST BE PROTECTED DURING
SITE WORK, DELIVERY, PLACEMENT AND
INSTALLATION OF THE NEW BUILDING.
7. CONTRACTORS ARE TO MAKE GOOD ANY
DAMAGES INFLICTED BY THEIR WORK TO
ADJACENT AREAS UPON COMPLETION OF THIS
PROJECT.
8. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF ANY MATERIALS
NOT SPECIFICALLY DRAWN OR DESCRIBED BUT
REASONABLY IMPLIED AND NECESSARY FOR
COMPLETION OF WORK WITHOUT ADDITIONAL
COSTS UNDER HIS OR HER CONTRACT.
