Investment Area and Funding Source

• These RFPs are open and competitive funding processes.

• Approximately $1,652,162 is available through the State Family Caregiver and Older American’s Act for Family Caregiver Support Program services.

• Approximately $2,344,929 is available through the Senior Citizens Service Act, Older American’s Act, Title XIX and Seattle General Fund for Community Living Connections – Aging and Disability Resource Network services.

• Funding awards will be made for the period of July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016

• Continued investment after the initial contract period will be contingent on successful performance and funding availability.

Client Eligibility

• An eligible client is an unpaid caregiver living in King County - spouse, partner, relative, or friend (age 18 and older) who is actively providing care to an adult (age 18 and older) with a functional disability.

• The caregiver may not receive financial compensation for providing care.

• The care receiver must not be receiving Medicaid-funded long term care services (eg, COPES, MPC, DDD waiver), live in a nursing facility or adult family home.
