Section B: Scope of Work

The character and scope of the work are set forth in the purchase order of the Statement of Work as Attachment I-1 – Rev. January 9, 2018, Master Bathroom Layout as Attachment I-2 _ Rev. January 9, 2018, Specification as Attachment I–3_Rev. January 9, 2018 and the RSO Tokyo Security as Attachment I-4 in Section I. The Contractor shall furnish and install all materials required by this purchase order.

In case of differences between small and large-scale drawings, the latter will govern. Where a portion of the work is drawn in detail and the remainder of the work is indicated in outline, the parts drawn in detail shall apply also to all other portions of the work.

Specifications/Statement of Work

1. Scope of Work

Repair bathrooms in 2nd

floor Master bathroom in DCMR.

2. GENERAL

2.1. All work required under this contract shall be accomplished in accordance with Japan

Architectural Specification Standard (JASS). All work required under this contract shall be

performed in a professional manner of the respective trade. The Contracting Officer’s

Representative (COR) and/or COR’s designee shall perform QA/QC inspection on contracted

work at-any-time basis. Any found deficiencies and/or discrepancies against contract work

requirement and specifications shall be corrected accordingly by the Contractor at no additional

cost to the government.

2.2. All materials and labor shall be furnished by the Contractor unless otherwise stipulated

herein. Quality of all materials to be used for all required work shall meet or exceed Japan

Industrial Standard (JIS).

2.3. The Contractor shall be responsible for keeping the work areas clean and neat. After

completion of work, the Contractor shall clean the work areas and leave it in a vacuum-clean

condition. The Contractor shall dispose of all debris left over from the contracted work outside

the DCM Residence in accordance with applicable local codes for industrial waste disposal,

unless otherwise stipulated herein.

2.4. Prior to work commencement on the job site, the Contractor shall submit to the COR for

approval material samples, shop drawings, color samples, and a work schedule as requested.

2.5. The Contractor shall guarantee all the work completed and any materials supplied by the

Contractor under this contract one (1) year from the date of acceptance against any defects.

2.6. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to verify all dimensions and any site conditions. The

Contractor shall notify the COR of any discrepancies or inconsistencies between the plans and

the site conditions before work occurs and alters the existing conditions.

2.7. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to notify the COR of any discrepancies between the

plans and the specifications or any requirements identified in the contract prior to the

commencement of work. If any such discrepancies are identified after the commencement of

work, the COR will decide which detail or statement is most beneficial to the USG and that

detail or statement will be implemented by the Contractor at the Contractor’s expense.

3.0. Master bathroom repair work: Products are listed hereafter or all those of equals

3.1. Removal work: Remove and dispose of existing floor tiles, built in cabinet, basin,

commode, bathtub, shower head and mixing valve, mirror and lighting fixtures. Remove the

wood door to hallway and to bedroom. Make barriers with temporary studs and plastic sheets for

dust control.

3.2 Base Cabinet:

Contractor shall fabricate 2 sets of sink cabinet, 1 set of W450mm drawer cabinet, 1 sets of W1000mm

drawer cabinet using door panels and aprons equivalent finish to Wood Grain Gloss WG-1712GN from

3M DI-NOC Film. Door panel edge must be round finished. Height of base cabinet is 800mm from the

floor. Inside cabinet shall be finished with white polyester film finish.

Furnish and install silver flush type door pull.

3.3 Countertop:

New W1500 X D600mm counter surface material shall be acrylic marble Dupon CORIAN/Sierra White

Stone or its equivalent. 12.3mm thickness of acrylic marble top surface plus 12mm of plywood plus 3mm

acrylic marble back surface. 5mm Tapered edge finish is required.

80mm high backsplash shall be neatly sealed along the edge.

Furnish and install 2 sets of under mount type basin L620 from TOTO.

Furnish and install two sets of Lavatory faucet TLCF31E from TOTO.

3.4. Mirror: Furnish two sets of mirrors W2235XH1200mm and W1735XH1200mm

covering from top of the splash guard.

3.5. Floor: Contractor shall furnish new 300X300mm ceramic floor tiles THERMO TILE

SOFULIMEII IFT-300 for Lavatory, Bath and Toilet space. Use the same tile for apron and

edges for bathtub. Color will be selected DCM before ordering the product.

3.6. Wall:

3.6.1 Ceramic tiles: Furnish RTM-200/1B and MSJ/KS-11K and install as making checkered

pattern.

3.6.2 Wood texture panel finish: Furnish wall panels with wood texture film equivalent to the

finish of WG-2860 Walnut from 3M DI-NOC.

3.6.3 Confirm the type of wall finish in elevations.

3.7. Door

3.7.1 Wood door: Remove 2 sets of entry door and associated doorjamb/header. Close one

of the openings facing to the hallway with studs and drywall. Replace with solid core door

matched in existing design for the door facing to the bedroom. Furnish new hardware and install

on new doors matched with existing. Paint the door and door frame with oil base paint to be

matched with existing color. Furnish one set of coat hook LIXIL INAX Double Hook KF-28

and install on the inside door surface at 1700mm height.

3.7.2 Glass door:

Remove old door and door jamb/header into the bathtub space and toilet. Furnish new stainless

steel doorjamb/header. Furnish frameless glass door W10mm tempered glass with SRWF

window film ULTRA 600 from 3M. Frosty finish is required from H200mm to H1800mm on

glasses. Use stainless steel hinges. Furnish stainless steel door handle/towel bar matched with

the catalogue design.

3.8. Ceiling: Remove old ceiling board and install new waterproof drywall (aqua board) for

ceiling. Putty the joints and create a smooth surface for receiving paint. Install one set of 500X

500mm access hatch in the bath space and Lavatory space.

3.9. Lighting: Furnish 1 sets of LED down light fixture LGW51700 from Panasonic installed

in the center room of Basin/Changing room. Furnish two sets of wall mount tube LED lighting

LGB85000 and install over the mirror. Furnish a total of 4 sets of LED down light fixture

LGW71730 and install 2 sets in front of medicine cabinet, 1 set over counter top and one set over

toilet. Furnish two sets of wall mount LED light fixture LGW51700 from Panasonic installed in

Bath space. Furnish a motion sensor switch for LGW51700.

3.10. Bathtub space:

Remove existing tiles and mortar until waterproof membrane is exposed in body wash area

outside bathtub. Clean the surface and apply new asphalt waterproof membrane. Install new

drain and create a minimum slope on floor with cement mortar prior to installing new tiles.

The Contractor shall furnish new bathtub TBND-1600HP from INAX. Construct the bathtub

apron and tub edges with concrete blocks. Apply waterproof membrane on concrete block and

install ceramic tile THERMO TILE SOFULIME II, IFT-300 from INAX.

Plumbing shall be replaced including the trap in the ceiling space of 1st floor in the Formal

Dining room.

Furnish bathtub faucet KAKUDAI-154-000K from KAKUDAI.

Furnish shower faucet/shower head with mixing valve heads KAKUDAI-173-235K from

KAKUDAI. Furnish and install height adjustable shower head hook with stainless steel bar for

the particular head model.

Furnish bathroom mirror KF-4510A from INAX.

Furnish D200mm acrylic marble counter with H200mm apron to be installed at the same height

as bathtub edge. Install the shower faucet on the apron.

3.11. Power outlets: Remain existing power outlet at the same locations. Install one GFCI

100V outlet behind toilet for warm shower seat.

3.12. Commode: Furnish the remodel series of no water tank commode NEOREST AH white

color with stick remote control unit.

3.13. Medicine cabinet:

Contractor shall remove existing built in cabinet and associated door panels. Fabricate new

H1000mm cabinets with 200mm depth with height adjustable glass shelves. Provide wood

texture film finish equivalent to WG-2860 Walnut from 3M DI-NOC film for door panel. White

melamine shall be installed for inside cabinet.

3.14. New space heater:

Contractor shall remove old space heaters in basin space and in toilet space. Furnish one set of

new radiant heater in toilet and one set under Medicine cabinet. Connect necessary plumbing.

Accessories:

3.16. Furnish one set of toilet paper holder AUS835M from UNION, two sets of towel-ring

AUS825M from UNION installed on basin aprons, one set of towel bar AUS815M from

UNION, two sets of soap dishes S6N from TOTO, one set of I-shape grab bar in the bathtub

TS134GKY8S from TOTO (white), and one set of L-shape grab bar in the bathtub

TS134GLCY8S from TOTO (white). Furnish and install one set of bathrobe hook AUS845

from UNION on entry door.

3.17. Furnish one set of Sanitary box ST-M3, DP-28L-SA from Yamazaki Sangyo

(CONDOR).

3.18. Soap dispenser: Furnish 2 sets of portable auto flow soap dispenser “EVASOLO

Automatic soap dispenser 200ml (Silver) imported by Smart Kitchen.

3.19. Furnish 1 set of exhaust fan VD-20ZC10 from Mitsubishi installed in Toilet ceiling and 1

set of exhaust / heater fan WD-220BZR from Mitsubishi installed in Bathtub space ceiling.
