Installation of Illuminated Advertising Street Signs
‘Identilites’ Claude Outdoor owns and operates outdoor advertising assets across Australia. We are currently implementing the expansion of our ‘Identilite’ advertising platform.
Identilites are internally illuminated advertising street signs located on road intersections. They comprise an 1800 x 1300mm “lightbox” mounted on a street pole installed on a cage footing in Council’s pedestrian footpath. Illuminated street signs are also mounted on the pole.
Identilites are a cost effective way to inform potential customers and direct them to a place of business. Nationally, we have over 1,300 Identilites operating at present.
What We Need Our expansion programme will see almost 100 additional Identilites installed per year in NSW. We need a contractor who can meet the demands of this growth in our asset base by installing new Identilite units.
A single contractor is required to manage all works from site inspections and investigations into underground services to the mounting of the Identilite street pole on the footing and connection to mains supply.
Project management and coordination of trades will be key to meeting our requirements. So too will traffic management permitting through RMS. The successful company will pro-‐actively manage every project from inception to completion.
Scope of Works The scope of works for the installation of each Identilite is as follows:-‐
§ Site investigations and Dial Before You Dig searches to locate services § Preparation of traffic management plans § Obtaining Road Occupancy Permits from RMS § On-‐site traffic management personnel § Excavation of footing 450mm x 1.5m utilising non-‐destructive excavation methods § Removal of spoil § Trenching & back filling for conduits to a distance of up to 10m § Installation of cage bolt footing including 20mpa concrete § Transport of sign to site with ‘Hiab’ truck § Bolting of Identilite unit to cage footing § Supply and installation of special small services (SSS) RCD box on power pole § Conduit & cable from sign position to power pole and to special small service box (SSS) § 3m galvanised cover guard on power pole § Connection of UGOH on power pole by L2 electrician § Wire up of 3 x light boxes with fluorescent tubes

§ Turf or repair & removal of spoil or concrete repair to up to 2m2 § Certificate of Compliance of Electrical Work on completion
What is supplied by Claude Outdoor Claude Outdoor will source all signage hardware for each Identilites and make it available for collection from our storage facility in Artarmon. This includes:-‐
§ The Identilite street pole § Internally illuminated advertising “top box” § Slimline street name lightboxes § Cage bolt footing and slip base § Electrical de-‐coupler
Wiring, conduit, small special services boxes and other items required for the connection of the Identilite to mains supply are to be supplied by the sub-‐contractor. Claude Outdoor will manage applications to energy providers for connection to mains supply. We also manage the Council development application process for each Identilite site.
