1. OBJECTIVE

Accredited, experienced and registered Service providers are hereby invited for the Supply, Delivery and

Erection of New Carports at Jan Smuts

SCOPE OF WORK

Installation of carports will consist of the following works:

• Provision for preliminary and general: Fixed Charges and Value Related Items: Contractual Requirements, Facilities of Contractor, Supply program of schedule and Safety Plan.

• Provision for supply, installation and erection of new covered carports. Provide for -Vertical Tubing of 76mm x 76mm x 3m, Horizontal Support 76mm x 76mm x 5m, Curved/(Burned) tubing Roofing support 76mm X76mmX 6.2m. Rolling of 76mm by 76mm roof support tubing must be taken to account.

• Miscellaneous and Finishing: Supply roof nail 550, Supply roof nail washers 550 and Provision for Consumables.

• Concrete Foundation: Concrete work should be in line with the SABS 1200G regulations. Concrete foundation must be a 25 MPa.

• Provision for Earthworks: The proposal to provide and supply for ground preparation prior ground development. The contractor must make provision for ground preparation.

• Project Completion: Handover will be applicable when the project is in complete working order and all work and services as set out in an orderly manner. During the handover the contractor should provide ERWAT with the results of the tests and further provide concrete tests results (the slump test and the cube test). The contractor must also provide documentation on guarantee of work completed.

• Project Completion; Supply results of concrete strength tests and provision for Handing over procedures.

• Provide for Environmental Management Plan; cater for Occupational Health and Safety to comply with the regulations.

• Provision for storage, ablution facilities

Extent of the Works

The works described below will not be limited to the above description. These will be in line with the BOQ for

the entire project scope. Liaison with the Client Representative throughout this construction by means of

written site instructions will be an acceptable form of communications.

The extent of the work is as follows:

• Project documentation and drawings

• Site Establishment and preparation of site office and site personnel

• Site clearance, provision for earthworks.

• Survey, design and preparation of construction drawings.

• Ordering and procuring of material.

• 25 MPa compressive strength is required, (Delivery notes to be captured and share with the Client

upon pouring).

• Cut and fills for preparations of construction of platforms where specified.

• Laying and compaction of 150mm G5 material.

• Laying and compaction of sharp sand screed.

• Laying of 200mm x 100mm x 80mm

• Trench preparation. 400mmX400mmX600mm

• Concrete foundation pouring and preparation for supporting column erection. (25 MPa concrete).

Commissioning & hand-over. The contractor is to issue As-Build drawing, included into the entire completion

report. Final payment will be dependent on the acceptance of the completion

Note: The proposed carports area position shall be pointed out to you on site during site briefing

and upon start of contraction appointment.

2. CONDITIONS OF THE TENDER

a) Tenderers must complete the Bill of Quantities in full.

b) All the relevant product information and warranties must be submitted with the Tender.

c) The successful tenderer must adhere to the stipulations and regulations of the OHS Act.

d) Successful tenderer must submit a safety file before commencement of the project

e) Successful tenderer must submit a project execution plan with activities and dates 2 working days after

official appointment

3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• The maximum delivery period shall be specified by the contractor

• The defects liability period shall be 52 Calendar Weeks

• The Bill of Quantities shall be completed in full

• Copy of Bidder shall submit BBBEE Compliance Certificate

• Copy of Tax Clearance Certificate

• Copy of Latest Municipal Account and Certification

• Declaration of Interest (Download form ERWAT website/Procurement/Service Provider

5. EVALUATION CRITERIA SCORING CRITERIA FOR CIDB CONTRACTS: The score for the Technical/ Functionality Evaluation will be calculated in accordance with the table below:

9. TERMS OF TERMINATION

The contracted parties (ERWAT (The Client) and (The

Supplier/ Contractor/ Bidder) reserves their rights to terminate the contract. Prior to contract termination, both
