Conveners Required For

Indian Veterans For Democracy (IVD)

1. Conveners in total volunteer form with no cost to the , are required nationwide for ‘Indian

Veterans For Democracy’. The following are the functional areas

a. One convener each in each state

b. One convener each in major cities having more than 10 lakh population across the

country.

c. Following conveners as per functional area

i. Convener - RTIs

ii. Convener - Legal

iii. Convener – Loksabha

iv. Convener – Rajyasabha

v. Convener - Political Parties

vi. Convener – Parliamentary standing committees.

vii. Convener - MOD and other ministries.

viii. Convener veterans – Army

ix. Convener veterans – Navy

x. Convener Veterans – Air Force

xi. Convener Veterans -Para Military Forces.

xii. Convener – Protection of Human Rights of Soldiers and War Widows

xiii. Convener – Resettlement and welfare of veterans.

xiv. Convener – Monthly online newsletter and website management.

xv. Two conveners for group HQ for staff and coordination works

2. Following are eligible and are requested to send their profile

a. Any person who can spare 1-2 hours in a day to work on the group tasks on volunteer

basis.

b. Any person who is a citizen of India, capable, educated, possesses required intellect,

physically fit, sound, without any criminal records and major financial default,

experience and proven record and who can work as a part of a team and is

i. A retired soldier – Veteran ( all ranks including SS and woman officers

from Army, Navy, Air force, Coast Guard, Assam Rifles etc) or

ii. Family member or dependent of a veteran

iii. Friend and supporters of veterans from any walks of life.

c. Conveners should have a PC with own internet connectivity, a mobile phone and

vehicle (any) and will operate from their residences only. The total expenses will

not be more than Rs 2000 PM including operating cost of internet and PC.

d. No financial compensation will be paid. It is a pure volunteer work with no

financial commitment from ‘Indian Veterans For Democracy’.

3. After having been selected a convener will be required to give a declaration which will

also give out certain guidelines for him to follow.

4. Conveners are required to work on the principle of unity of purpose, team work,

equality with mutual respect, patience, sacrifice and full commitment.

5. Convener if not willing to work can exit on 2 months’ notice.
