Research and Social Media Symposium
Social Media – Research, Reputation and Impact
Tuesday, 23rd
June, 12.30 – 18.00, College Building, C207
Given the growing importance of Social Media in
research development, knowledge transfer, network
building and potential impact, this year, the theme of
the Symposium is focused on this area. Social Media
can facilitate potential partnerships in an engaging
way to bring people together, to build common
research outcomes and then generate evidence of
impact.
The major aim of this event is to provide a forum for
the exchange of ideas related to use Social Media for
research development purposes. It also aims to raise
awareness in terms of the latest development in
social technologies, to address the opportunities and
challenges associated with the use of Social Media by
researchers and subject its use to critical scrutiny.
By Social Media we mean platforms such as Twitter,
Instagram, Facebook, Research Gate, LinkedIn and
others.
