- I didn’t like that they pointed out that I’m watching a movie.- The masks are freaking me out and they sounded so cultish- Clearly 1950s-1960s British, acting and filming themes- I understand why they used the masks back then, yet the masks are not

necessary for film- They are clearly stage acting - They had different sets though- They did classical acting movements and voices, kneeling like we did in class- The chorus reminds me of bad early Doctor Who villains- The guy in back during Oedipus’s speech that was interpretive dancing was

freaking me out- There is no youth leading the prophet!!!- A lot of them sound like they auditioning for the part of a ghost haunting a

house- I do like Tiresias’s acting- I never thought I would say this, but cheap humor was used in this. They

used slapstick comedy when it came to Tiresia’s blindness.- There are two Creon’s!! Apparently that was the messenger’s name- Some acting slipped into soap acting- Oedipus sounds like an overdramatic Bryan Cranston- They added a second shepherd- They, also, added another messenger- Oedipus completely switched costumes after he blinded himself- The daughters are freaky! - I would have preferred to see this version live- I wanted to call the acting shatner-like at times, and I found out after that he

Antigone-The acting is incredible and the delivery is great.- I was not a fan of how they felt the need to explain the whole story in a 5

minute clip with only subtitles and pictures of Greek art- This was an entirely Greek cast performing the work in the language it was

originally in- the main actors held the screen and my attention incredibly well- the elders, and soldiers weren’t the leads for a reason-the sword practicing took me out completely, they choreographed the

movement and sword hitting to the soundtrack with zero practicality - a lot of it was performed outdoors in the original logical surroundings that

is necessary for the work.- The gestures were very subdued and not the classical style at all. It is

period acting put to classical text -they moved around to too many different sets for this work-haemon was incredibly weak in his period acting and he did not get

defensive enough. His woman is going to die!!!!!!!!!!!! His anger is more dismissive and soapish

-Antigone weeps openly in front of the soldiers and they comfort her!! She whines about being unwed and unloved!!! She specifically says in the text “No tears are shed!” So she shouldn’t collapse in grief and weep!

-She apparently tried to escape!!!!!!!!!!!-At least this tiresias has a youth-he magically appears out of the wilderness than disappears…..-The messenger shatnered up his news quite nicely…..- apparently Haemon sneaks into Antigone’s tomb, finds that she hung herself and hugs her dead body and he tried to kill Creon… what????
