B O A R D C H A I RHeidi Veltman, LFI’99 is the Vice President, Delivery Systems Operations for Northern Virginia Service Area for the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States region. She has been in this role since June 2012. She is responsible for the management oversight of thirteen medical centers in Northern Virginia and approximately 270,000 Kaiser Permanente members. She is the current Chairperson of Leadership Fairfax’s Board of Directors.

Heidi joined Kaiser Permanente in 1987 and has held many leadership positions within the organization to include Area Administrator for the Northern Virginia Service Area, Medical Center Administrator, Director of Regional Clinical Services and Senior Director of Health Plan Delivery Sysytem Operations. She has worked at several medical centers in the Mid Atlantic States region and provided regional leadership over the departments of Health Information Management Systems, Radiology and Physical Therapy. In 2010 she established the Transition Team for the region and led the design, planning, implementation and opening of the Hubs, our largest medical centers to include the Tysons Medical Center.

Heidi joined the board of The Medical Society of Virginia Foundation in 2018 and is serving as Secretary of the Board for the term 2019/2020. She joined the Board of Leadership Fairfax in 2016 and is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board for the term 2019/2020. Heidi is a graduate of the LFI Program in 1999.

She received her undergraduate degree in Business from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland and completed her master’s degree in Finance from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She is married with two daughters and resides in Oak Hill, Virginia.
