Review - First Annual FinancialStatements (Year 1: February 2005–January 2006)
Periodic Review and Financial Statements submitted in June 2006 .
EC analyse contractors financial statements and conclude;
• Correct – ResistVir Payment will arrive in approximately 8 weeks and Chalex will distribute this in a further 2 weeks.
• Incorrect - Chalex will be asked to re-contact contractors to reprocess forms and payment will be received upon arrival of correct reprocessed forms.

Review - Second Annual FinancialStatements (Year 2: February 2006–January 2007)
Periodic Review and Financial Statements to be submitted in April 2007.

Contractors Financial Documentation MUST be available to Chalex by 31st January 2007
Mid-Term Assessment Stop / Go
Financial Audit Certificates• Required from every ResistVir Contractor
• Period covered: 1st February 2005 – 31st January 2008 (3 years)
• What’s being audited;1. Personnel Costs – verified through timesheets and payroll system2. Travel Expenses – verified through receipts (Chalex task)3. Other costs – verified through receipts, costs must be directly associated
with the project. (for example, if you have purchased computer equipment, you must have used this solely for the project to claim full cost).
• Who is the auditor;• Nationally Registered Auditor (EC specify details in ‘Guidance Notes’) in
your country.
• When must Audit Certificates be provided; WAIT!!!• March 2008 • DO NOT provide these until instructed to by Chalex. REASON; only €1000
per contractor is provided for Audit Certificates. If your Audit Certificate is incorrectly, your organisation will have to pay for the 2nd Audit Certificate at their own cost.
