BOLTON AS A CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF STATE DEPUTY CALIFORNIA STATE JURISDICTION, 2020-2021 COLUMBIAN YEAR WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton is a member of Pope John Paul I Council 6020 in Huntington Beach serving through the chairs and was Grand Knight in CY2006-07; was the Charter Faithfull Navigator for Bishop William R Johnson Assembly 3750, held all chapter offices and is a Past Chapter President 2012-2013, Past Chapter Intellectual Disability Chairman, Special Olympics Chairman, District Deputy and is currently the State Secretary 2019-2020; is a successful businessman demonstrating both keen organizational and financial management skills; and WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton led the Orange County Chapter Councils in a special fundraising drive to support Veterans in Orange County raising $90,000 to purchase 510 wheelchairs and subsequently distributed them to our Veterans at a Memorial Day barbeque honoring all veterans at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital, and was acknowledged at our convention in 2012 with the 1 st Annual Emilio Moure Award, and having earned recognition for his dedicated services with honoraria at State Assembly, California’s Governor and Congressional levels; and WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton and his lovely wife Jane were King and Queen of the annual fund-raising drive for Catholic Charities in 2011 for Knight’s support of Camp ReCreation recognizing him for motivating all the councils of the Orange County Chapter in support of Camp ReCreation for Catholic Charities raising over $805,000 during his five years as Chapter Charities President; and WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton has provided the leadership within the Southern California Special Olympics community for over 39 years servicing and supporting the Fall, Spring and Summer Games and numerous Special Olympics events. Recognized as Volunteer of the Year for Southern California Special Olympics in 2008 and as Orange County Volunteer Person of the Year in 2012. Currently serving as Chair for RLC in Orange County; and WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton has served as a founding board member of the Vince Ferragamo Foundation since 1984 helping raise over $5 Million dollars for people with intellectual disabilities; and WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton was the chairman and has been a motivating force in the organization sustainment and growth of the Day of Sharing event in Orange County for 19 years. Providing services to the disabled of Orange County and through it providing immeasurable enjoyment and entertainment; and was recognized at the State Convention in 2012 for this program; and WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton has served the St Bonaventure Parish for 19 years and continues to serve. Has served as Parish Council President, food service chairman for parish festival, Hope office food distribution chairman of food to the needy, responded to the Pastor’s call to organize and lead a re-building effort for homes devastated by Hurricane Katrina in the 9 th Ward collaborating with the State Deputy of Louisiana to provide meals for us; and WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. Bolton served as State Service Programs Director in 2015-2016 helping the Chairman for the Wheelchairs for Veteran’s featured Program 2015-2016 raise $560,000 for Wheelchairs for needy Veterans; and WHEREA’S Brother Stephen E. RESOLUTION FOR THE NOMINATION OF BROTHER STEPHEN E. BOLTON AS A CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE

OF STATE DEPUTY CALIFORNIA STATE JURISDICTION, 2020-2021 COLUMBIAN YEAR

WHEREAS, Brother Stephen E. WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio currently serves the Knights of Columbus California State Council as State Treasurer, of which he also serves as a Board Member of the Frank Nigro Columbian Foundation Supporting People with Intellectual Disabilities Inc., California Knights of Columbus Emilio B. Moure Museum, Columbian Retirement Home Inc., and Columbian Properties Inc.; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio has served as the State Council Service Program Family of the Month/Year Committeeman in 2008-2009, State Council Service Program Council Activities Director in 2009-2011, State Council Keep Christ in Christmas Program Chairman 2014-2015, State Council Assistant Service Program Director in 2015-2016, State Council Service Program Director 2016-2017, State Council Warden 2017-2018, and State Council Advocate 2018-2019; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio is a member of Saint Anne Council 8627, Union City, California, since 1998, has served in various elected offices of his council including the Grand Knight in 2004-2005, led his Council to receive numerous awards including the Overall (All Divisions) Best Council in the State, and achieved the coveted Star Council Award; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio has served in elected offices of the San Lorenzo Ruiz Assembly 2627, including Faithful Navigator in 2005-2006, led his assembly to attain the Civic Award, served the Fourth Degree as Color Corps Commander for a period of two (2) years, and is a Charter Member of Bishop Floyd L. Begin Assembly 3546; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio has served as District Deputy for the years 2011-2013 of which he led councils under his District to participate in various Service Programs including achieving 100% District participation supporting People with Intellectual Disabilities; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio has served in elected offices of the Oakland Diocese Chapter, including Chapter President in 2013-2014, raising needed funds to support various activities of the Chapter and led the Chapter to become one of the Outstanding Chapters in the State, thus earning a delegation seat to represent the CA State Council at the 2014 Supreme Convention held at Orlando, Florida; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio, having obtained a Degree in Medicine and Masters in Hospital Administration, served as Director for Administrative Services of a 250-bed hospital at the Angeles University Medical Center in 1990-1992, Board of Director of two (2) Financial Institutions in 1990-1996, and Board of Director of Accurate Medical Diagnostic Center in 1993 to present; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio served in various positions from 2000 to 2008 as the Immunization Program Director of the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, Director of the Santa Clara County Immunization Registry, Bay Area Regional Immunization Registry Coordinator, served as a Board Member of the California Coalition for Childhood Immunizations, Alameda County Commissioner for Public Health in 2006-2010, and is currently serving in the Substance Use Treatment Services of the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services Department; and WHEREAS, Brother Noel M. Panlilio is an active parishioner of Saint Anne Parish, served as the Church Festival Co-Chairman, Co-founder of the St. Anne Medical Action and Response Team (SMART), together with his wife Fannie and daughters - Stefannie and Dianne, coordinated the Council-sponsored Annual Flu Vaccination Clinic from 2006 to present which had been awarded as the CY 2008-2009 Best Council Activity; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, in view of his service and dedication to the Knights of Columbus, his Council, Community and Church, Saint Anne Council 8627 proudly endorses Brother Noel M. RESOLUTION TO ENDORSE RENE TREVINO AS A CANDIDATE FOR STATE TREASURER, CALIFORNIA JURISDICTION, 2020-2021 COLUMBIAN YEAR

WHEREAS, Brother Rene Trevino is currently serving as the State Advocate where he has provided guidance and leadership to the State Council and local Councils throughout the State; and WHEREAS, Brother Rene Trevino is a member of Saint Gregory the Great Council 10094 in San Diego and has demonstrated his passion for his Faith, his dedication to his Family, his ability to have Fun and has the experience and skill set to manage and operate large multimillion-dollar programs as a steward of Finances; continually reflects on his Freedom as a Catholic and as an American; is a licensed Architect in the State of California and served in that capacity for 31 years for the Department of Defense where his last position was Executive Director, Navy Region Southwest, responsible for an annual $1 billion budget and 29 major programs; is a member of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Volunteer Patrol, serving over 3,000 hours; has demonstrated strong leadership skills, acute organizational capability and financial management skills; and

WHEREAS, Brother Rene Trevino served as Grand Knight for Saint Gregory the Great Council 10094 in CY 2005-2006 receiving the State Deputy Award and Supreme Star Council Award; as District Deputy for two consecutive terms from 2011-2013 receiving Star District recognition and the California State Deputy District Deputy Award (9th Place) in CY 2012-2013 and was instrumental in instituting Mary Star of the Sea Council 10117 in La Jolla in the same year; and as the San Diego Diocese Chapter President in CY 2015-2016 completing the year as the Number One Chapter in the jurisdiction; in that year, 21 Councils received Star Council (out of 105 statewide) and 6 District Deputies were Star District (out of 22 statewide) of which 5 were Shield Districts (out of 14 statewide); was instrumental in establishing Council 16517 at St. Catherine Laboure Parish at the completion of the Columbian Year; a Fourth Degree Knight, is Past Faithful Navigator of Bishop Buddy Assembly 2122; was District Marshal for the Saint Junipero Serra Province, Southern California District and as a Fourth Degree Ceremonial Degree Officer; continues to be active in the San Diego Chapter serving as Special Olympics Chairman; and . WHEREAS, Brother Rene Trevino served as State Warden in CY 2018-2019, State Operations Director for two consecutive terms in 2016-2018 and Special Olympics World Games Chairman (South) in 2014-2015 where he assisted in coordinating services with the World Games organization and was an active supporter of the World Games acting as a group leader for the Track and Field events; and

WHEREAS, Brother Rene Trevino and his lovely wife Carla have been active in the Council, Chapter and State, especially the Annual Widows and Widowers Luncheon hosted by the San Diego Chapter. This event, created by Lady Carla, recognizes those family members who lost a Brother Knight or a Brother Knight who has lost a spouse; and WHEREAS, Brother Rene Trevino has served Saint Gregory the Great Parish for the past 15 years. He is an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, a Lector, an Altar Server and serves on the Parish Development Steering Committee where he provides his architectural, contract expertise and talent. He has reviewed various projects to include parish hall expansions, new school development and installation of solar panel carports. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in view of his service, dedication, demonstrated leadership to the Knights of Columbus, and in service to the Council, Chapter, State, Church and Community, Saint Gregory the Great Council 10094 proudly and enthusiastically endorses Brother Rene Trevino for the office of State Treasurer for Columbian Year 2020-2021 and urges his election at the Annual State Convention to be held in Sacramento, California in May 2020.

Colma A RESOLUTION TO ENDORSE GREGORY A. MARRACQ

AS A CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF STATE ADVOCATE

CALIFORNIA STATE JURISDICTION, 2020-2021 COLUMBIAN YEAR

WHEREAS, Brother Gregory A. Marracq joined the Knights of Columbus as a Member of Holy Angels Council 10948 in Colma, California, in August 1993 and served as the Council’s Grand Knight in 1999-2000 earning the Star Council Award, and recognized as Knight of the Year in 2010-2011, and Family of the Year in 1998-1999, 2002-2003, 2009-2010, and 2017-2018; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq served as District Deputy and District Deputy Mentor for 2018-2019; Brother Marracq also served as District Deputy for two terms from 2011 through 2013, and by working closely with the Councils and the Supreme Insurance Field Agent, he was able to earn the exceptional achievement and coveted All Star Council District Award in both years, and attained a 100% District participation in the Intellectual Disabilities Campaign both years, and also served as District Deputy Mentor in 2013-2014; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq joined Archbishop Alemany Assembly 0076 later transferring his membership to the Maria Regina Assembly 2651 as a Charter Member; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq has served the Saint Francis Chapter as Chapter President in 2014-2015 with the Chapter achieving a First Place Award in Church Activities from the State Council, and was Chapter Intellectual Disabilities Drive Chairman in 2009-2010, Chapter Father McGivney Guild Chairman in 2013-2014, Chapter Membership Coordinator for two years, 2015 - 2017, Chapter Coats for Kids Chairman for three years, 2016 - 2019; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq has served the State Council as State Convention Chairman in 2015-2016 and 2017-2018, and also served as the State Family of the Month/Year Committeeman in 2008-2009, State Council Family Director in 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, State Election Committeeman in 2011-2012, State Resolutions Committeeman in 2014-2015, and State Coats for Kids Committeeman-North in 2016-2017, and currently serving as State Warden in 2019-2020; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq is currently serving a second term as a member of the Board of Directors of California Columbian Charities, Inc.; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq with his wife Antoinette, daughters Alejandra and Gabriela, were recognized as State Family of the Year in 2017-2018; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq has served Holy Angels Parish in Colma, and has continually served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist since 1996, also serving as Mass Captain, and as President of the Parish Fund Raising Committee for five years helped to meet the fiscal needs of the Parish, and Brother Marracq also served as President of the Parish School Advisory Board initiating many fund raising events to benefit the School, and is currently serving as Parish Council Member at Large 2019-2020; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq spent the majority of his working career with the City of Daly City as the Customer Service Representative – Lead Meter Reader until his retirement from the City on December 28, 2018 after 33 years of service; and WHEREAS, Brother Marracq has worked for the last 44 years with Little Joes Pizza Restaurant Corporation, a family-owned restaurant, and presently serves as Treasurer for the Corporation. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that in view of his service and dedication to the Knights of Columbus, his Council, Church, and Community, Holy Angels Council 10948, proudly endorses Brother Gregory A. Marracq for the office of State Advocate, California State Council, for Columbian Year 2020-2021, and urges his election at the Annual State Convention to be held in Sacramento, California, May 15 – 16, 2020. Resolution of Endorsement for James P. Larson

as California State Council Warden

WHEREAS, Brother James Larson is a devoted husband and father of two boys with over thirty-one years of

blessed, faithful union; and

WHEREAS, Brother James Larson has been an active member of the St. Lucy Catholic Community in West

Long Beach since attending the RCIA program and receiving his Catholic Sacraments in 1999 and has served

in multiple capacities at St. Lucy Catholic Community including RCIA sponsor, RCIA Team Member, Usher,

Eucharistic Minister and presently serves as a member of the Parish Pastoral Council; and

WHEREAS, Brother James has been a continuous member in good standing of St. Lucy Council 12542 in

West Long Beach since his first degree exemplification in 2000 and has served in many capacities for the

Council including Grand Knight, 2007-2008 and Brother James is also a Fourth Degree Knight since 2006 and

a member in good standing of Gov. Peter H. Burnet Assembly #42; and

WHEREAS, Brother James served as a District Warden during the 2009-2010 Columbian year and served

three terms as District Deputy during the years 2010-2011, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 in which Brother

James’ districts made Star District status all three years he was District Deputy; and

WHEREAS, Brother James attended the Southern California Chapter meetings during his tenure as a Grand

Knight and District Deputy and served the Chapter being elected Treasurer, Vice President, Chapter President

and is now an appointed Trustee. During Brother James’ 2016-2017 term as President of the Southern

California Chapter the Chapter brought in 528 new members, assisting the State Council to reach “2017 Circle

of Honor” under State Deputy Sonny Santa Ines and Brother James was a voting delegate at the 2017 Supreme

Convention in St. Louis, MO. Brother James has attended and served as a Chapter volunteer at all the OneLife

LA Walk for Life events sponsored by the Los Angeles Archdiocese; and

WHEREAS, Brother James has served at the State level in many different capacities including the State

Council’s Administration and Finance Committee for two terms, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 and on the State

Council’s Resolution Committee for two terms, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 and serving on the Special

Olympics Committee as a Committeeman 2017-2018, Chairman, 2018-2019 (during the inauguration the State

Council’s Feed the Athletes initiative) and Chairman, 2019-2020. Brother James presently serves as a Board

member on the Frank Nigro Columbian Foundation Supporting People with Intellectual Disabilities and as a

director of the Columbian Charities, Inc. and serves as Assistant State Program Director for the 2019-2020

Columbian year; and

WHEREAS, Brother James is active in his community having served as a volunteer for Special Olympics for

many years and attending community meetings and volunteering with the Greater Long Beach Interfaith

Community Organization which engages low and moderate income families in civic life and the democratic

process through leadership training and congregation-based organizing.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in view of his service and dedication to his family, Church, the

Knights of Columbus, our Council and the community, St. Lucy Council 12542 proudly and enthusiastically

endorses James P. Larson for the office of State Warden.
