• Residential Parking Permit• RPP
• This program was designed at the request of residents in the resort area to restrict on street parking after 8pm to resort area residents and their guests who display a parking permit.
• Residential Passes: The first 2 decals allowing a resident to park in RPP area are free, but each decal thereafter is $5 with a max limit of 4 (with proof of address). Guest permits are $2 each with a limit of 2 per household.
• Questions about eligibility and how to get a pass can be handled
by the City Treasurer’s Office at 437-2059.
RPP contRPP cont’’dd• RPP exists only in the resort areas. As far
south as Winston Salem Ave. and as far north
as 30th Street. It also extends from Pacific Ave,
west to Parks Ave. RPP areas are marked by
this sign posted along the blocks affected.
The Do Not Tow Program (DNT)The Do Not Tow Program (DNT)Cars parked in the municipal lots in the resort area will be towed after 0230 hrs unless they display a Do Not Tow sticker or an overnight
permit.
If one finds themselves unable or unsafe to drive home from the municipal parking lots in the resort area, they can ask for a DNT sticker by calling 385-5600 or asking an officer or lot attendant for assistance.
DNT ContinuedDNT Continued
• The person asking for a DNT must present
themselves at the car to be tagged.
• The officer issuing the DNT will check that
the requestor has a safe plan for getting
home (hotel room, cab, sober friend).
• The car will be entered into a database to
measure use of and prevent abuse of the
program.
DNT ContinuedDNT Continued
• Our priority is to insure that any person
responsible enough to decide not to drive
impaired is afforded an opportunity to get
home safely without the added worry of a
tow from the municipal lots.
• DNT costs you nothing, does not prompt
an arrest for Drunk in Public, and is a
service provided to protect all of us.
