Children Inc. provides after school day care at Crittenden-Mt Zion Elementary School, Dry Ridge Elementary School and Sherman Elementary from 3:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday.
Staff members receive training in CPR and First Aid, as well as twelve hours training in childcare annually. All programs participate in the STARS FOR KIDS NOW initiative.
A snack is offered daily, as well as activities, crafts, homework time and recreation.

The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a service offered by NorthKey Regional Prevention Center. North Key offers short-term intensive therapy as a way of preventing needless hospitalization. The program includes a mobile unit, which will meet a child and his or her caregiver at a safe location in any of the eight counties of Northern Kentucky within 3 to 24 hours of the initial call. The crisis clinician will conduct an assessment to determine the needs of the child. If hospitalization is deemed necessary, the clinician will facilitate the process. If hospitalization is not appropriate, the clinician will provide short-term intensive therapy for a period of one to three weeks, which includes outpatient counseling, home/school visits and service coordination. Referrals can be made by calling the Access line.A sliding fee scale is available based on family size and income. Medicaid and other forms of insurance are accepted.

Currently, there are three county owned parks: Grant County Park in Crittenden, Jonesville Park and Mt. Zion Park. There are plans for several new park amenities throughout the county. It is our mission to provide safe, attractive parks and diverse recreational activities for all ages throughout the year.The Parks and Recreation Director collaborates with recreational boards, community initiatives, schools, city government and the community to offer recreational events for the entire county.Youth in Grant County are offered a wide array of activities to increase physical activity, team unity, and knowledge of the game. The activities currently include, little league baseball, soccer, softball, summer camp and day events Families can spend the evening under the stars watching a free movie in the park throughout the summer months.Shelter reservations for the picnic areas in our local parks are offered for a fee of $10.00. The money goes towards park improvement projects.

The purpose of 4-H is to promote the development of youth into productive, self-directing and contributing members of society.
