  • GENERAL PRINCIPLE

    All Lasallian Institutions shall generate resources to respond to the Lasallian Mission of providing quality human and Christian education accessible to all especially the poor.

    The resource generation program shall contribute to the realization of the Lasallian Mission.

    LASALLIAN RESOURCE GENERATION

    KEY PRINCIPLES 1. Lasallian Institutions shall prioritize resource generation for the following:

    a. Educational Scholarships b. Apostolates for the Poor

  • Resource Generation is an institutional program that advance and contribute to the realization of the Lasallian Mission and is exclusively for Educational Scholarships and Apostolates for the Poor. Resource Generation is strategically directed by the Center for Advancement and proposals are approved by the Brother President. 100% of proceeds are committed to meet the Advancement goals of the University of St. La Salle.

    Fund Raising are unit development activities and projects that gather voluntary financial contributions or other resources, through sponsorships from individuals, businesses, foundations, or government agencies for a charitable cause or beneficiary/ies. Full or partial proceeds from Fund Raising activities and projects may be committed to benefit University Advancement. Fund Raising may include raising a substantial seed fund to initiate an activity or project as part of academic or co-curricular requirements. All fund raisers are required to establish a depository account with the Business Office and must observe University Policy on Collection of Funds.

    DEFINITIONS

  • Solicitation consists of collecting money for activities or projects of a school-related nature and with amounts ranging from Php 0.25 to Php 4,999. Solicitations include gathering amounts intended to directly help, extend assistance, address urgent or unforeseen needs and provide financial support to matters that require immediate response, e.g. death aid, calamity support.

    All Solicitations require a proposal letter, stating the nature and objective of the activity or project and must earn the approval of the immediate head. While Solicitations do not usually require setting up a depository with the Business Office, it is necessary for all Solicitations to have a record of the date, amount and names of contributors for all monies collected. The solicited amount and records are managed by and the monies disbursed with written requests for the approval of the immediate head. All disbursements must have an accompanying receipt or valid proof of expenditure. The soliciting group is expected to submit a report to the immediate head at the conclusion of the activity or project.

    Mission Collection is a special initiative that ensure the sustainability of institutional mission projects that directly benefit the Lasallian commitment to the young and poor. The Mission Collection is supervised by the Integrated School and Senior High School, in coordination with Advancement.

  • Advancement Committee is a recommendatory body that shall advise and provide assistance in the conduct and management of institutional Resource Generation programs, Fund Raising and Solicitation activities and projects. The Committee meets once monthly.
