Respiratory Witch
by Elizaveta & Diana
INTRODUCTION If we didn’t breathe we would all be
dead. The respiratory system helps the witch
and all of us breath. The main goal for this system is to deliver oxygen to the body and to take away carbon dioxide.
NOSE OF THE OLD WICKED WITCH
Through the long nose the old wicked witch inhales oxygen
and expels wastes.
PHARYNX OF THE OLD WICKED WITCH
The witch creates a secret passageway from nose and
mouth to lungs. The function of the pharynx is to
receive air from the nose and mouth.
WINDPIPE OF THE OLD WICKED WITCHThe old witch uses the pipe to
beat bacteria. The trachea is commonly known as the
windpipe which is the main air way for the body.
It begins under the larynx; the voice box is at the top of the
trachea.
BRONCHI OF THE OLD WICKED WITCH
The old witch makes a poison potion that makes things divide into two.
The trachea divides into two smaller tubes known as bronchi. One bronchus is used for
each lung. Air moves from the bronchi into the lungs.
LUNGS OF THE OLD WICKED WITCHThe witch has two lungs ( left lung
and right lung ). When she inhales her lungs expand and she has a
superpower to make trees fall down and make a hurricane, and when she
exhales her lungs contract and remove wastes from the body. The
waste is carbon dioxide. If you touch her lung it would feel soft and
spongy, like a toad.
Interesting facts The left lung is smaller than the right one because it needs to leave space for her evil heart.Every day her body breathes about 20,000 times to stay alive.By the time the witch becomes old ( 70 years old) she would have 600 million breaths.
