USCG Cutter GALLATIN - Charleston, NC (Nov 2010 – Jan 2012)

o Assigned to the USCGC GALLATIN, a high endurance ship whose primary mission was counter narcotics in and around Central America.

o Deployed to the Caribbean Sea on the GALLATIN, and played a critical role in five narcotics seizures totaling over $50 million in cocaine, and $1 million in marijuana.

o In charge of small boat operations checks and maintenance, rescue and survival gear, and was the sole qualified small boat pursuit gunner for an entire three-month deployment.

o USCG Maritime CQB, Advanced 3-gun, IED, and Combat Life-saving – 01/2012: This eight-week course was held at training center Academi in Moyock, NC. is used to prepare patrol boat crew for in-theater deployment in the middle-east. This course consisted of three weeks advanced 3-gun course, two weeks close quarters combat, one week combat life-saving, one week IED recognition, and one week gear issue and various shipboard and international training classes.

Federal Law Enforcement Training Center – Charleston, SCo Boarding Officer Practical Course (BOPC) – 01/16/2015: This two week course

qualified me as a Boarding officer in the US Coast Guard. Boarding officers are federal law enforcement officers whose jurisdiction primarily includes vessels on the high seas and US waters, maritime facilities, and waters within the continental United States.

o Maritime Enforcement Specialist (ME “A”) School – 09/2010: ME “A” School is a ten-week course at the Maritime Law Enforcement Academy at FLETC, devoted to Maritime Law, defense tactics, statement writing, advanced small arms marksmanship (M-16, Remington 870, Sig Saur p229), anti-terrorism/force protection, drug lab, and both port and maritime facility security. This is a formal Class “A” School, which also prepares students to be Petty Officers in the US Coast Guard.

o Boarding Team Member School (BTM) – 02/12/2009: BTM School is a two-week course, held at FLETC. This school teaches active counter measures, OC
