Project: FOS (Field Optimization Suite)

Description: Field Optimization Suite consists of six components which interact with each other to allocate tasks to field engineers based on their skills and availability. It has interfaces with external systems as well. Jobs Admin which takes data from external systems and allocates jobs to engineers has been considered as a pillar of FOS.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for Component and Interface testing between all the components. Well aware of SQL Server developer to perform functional testing to verify the results. Knowledge of SQL and Shell Scripting. Having good command over Linux to identify the cause of Failure by checking Logs. Involved in Building and Deployment of Code through Jenkins. Proficient in Apex tool to generate reports of Arrived, Completed and Tail jobs. Responsible to ensure good quality Products are provided to client. Using Filezilla in daily life to transfer files from one location to other. Having working Knowledge of Putty software for Unix Platform.

Description: Eng.Com is an application which is used by field engineers For task initiation and perform different activities i.e. fill Timesheet Details, Go to Onsite,Lunch,Visit Sores. The record of all activities performed by Engineer have been kept via this application.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Have used Eclipse, Toad and Microsoft Excel for day to day work.• Analyze Workflows and Data Mapping sheet to get proper understanding of the requirements

and to verify whether all the Requirements are implemented as given.• Component System Testing for various Work streams like FTTC,FVA, FTTP,WLR etc.• Provided Sign-Off of each delivery to NBT team so that they can start the testing of next

level.• Have done Changes in Code to test all the Scenarios whether its working fine at our end.• Use of tools like JSON Lint to validate the json files before deployment and to validate any

manual error in json’s• Prepared Defect-Trackers to keep the defects which are found in any delivery and raise those

defects.

Project: SQL Server Maintenance Description:

SQL Server 2008 was used during the research work. For this, different documents were created based on research which helps the DBA’s and DBD’s to make their database effective. SQL server tuning includes identifying long-running queries, Analysis of query execution cycle and make changes in database to make it efficient. The tasks include Creation of different kinds of Indexes, Views etc. and to understand database structure and schema. To help DBA’s some guidelines were recorded in a document so that they can refer this document while creation of database’s and during maintenance.
