    Individual with good experience in Enterprise, leadership and team working. I have a first-

    class honours degree in Construction Project Management and 4 years experience with a

    global geotechnical engineering company.

    My experience has seen me work as part of a team in some of the most challenging of

    situations. I have also had the opportunity to take up positions of responsibility, which has

    helped to improve my managerial and leadership skills. I take pride in being an honest

    person who is self-motivated and has a willingness to learn. A period of time in the military

    helped me to develop my interpersonal skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork

    and self-confidence.

    Employment

    Graduate Engineer - Bachy Soletanche Ltd (September 2007 Present)

    I am employed by Bachy Soletanche Ltd, who have a reputation for quality and innovationwithin the field of foundation and underground engineering. I have a role as a Graduate

    Engineer and my experiences include:

    7 months in head office dealing with documents such as concrete cube test results, integrity

    and load test reports and negotiating concrete prices with suppliers.

    4 months as site engineer at Lower Carno Dam.

    4 months as Plant Operations Support Coordinator - This involved planning the companys

    forward workload on a Gantt Chart and allocating specific piling rigs to jobs across the

    country, communicating to many people within the company and solving problems.

    4 months as site engineer for a new wing manufacturing facility at Airbus, Broughton. I

    helped to manage health & safety, quality, labour, rescources, production and other factors

    associated with construction activities.

    4 months as site engineer on the A34 Bypass, Alderley Edge. My main task was to provide

    reports to the client, demonstrating that the slurry cut-off wall that we were building had

    been constructed vertically in the ground. Other responsibilities included general

    engineering and management duties.

    My current role is as a steel reinforcement engineer at London Gateway Port, the UKs

    newest deep-sea container port combined with Europes largest logistics park. My daily

    duties includes the management and supervision of a steel cage a manufacturing facility,

    whilst ensuring quality control.

    As part of my commitment towards continuing professional development I have also

    atended courses in IOSH Managing Safely. the essentials of project management,

    managing time and delegation, 'Influencing and negotiation' and 'CDM regulations'. I also

    hold a valid CSCS card.

    Marksmanship Instructor & Counsellor Valley Forge Military Acadamy (Summer 2011)

    Summer camp in Pennsylvania. Responsible for eleven 12-13 year olds, ensuring they hadthe best possible summer. This role put my leadership skills to the test and I had to dealwith group conflicts in a professional manner. Accountability was key whilst health andsafety remained number one priority.

    Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic Royal Air Force (August 2005 August 2007)

    Though I left the RAF under my statutory right to do so as an under-18, I thoroughly enjoyed

    my service and had the opportunity to develop a lot of interpersonal skills. I worked

    effectively in a team whilst maintaining self-discipline, respect and integrity.

    Skills

    Cricket

    From the age of seven I have played for Skelemersdale CC, I have also represented West

    Lancashire. I was recently part of a six man squad who won the Lancashire indoor league at

    Old Trafford, with Salford University Cricket Club.

    I am a fully qualified ECB Level 2 coach and hold the relevant CRB checks. As part of the

    training I gained a certificate in Safeguarding & Protecting Children and I also received an

    emergency first aid certificate from the FA. I am also a member of the ECB Coaches

    Association. Following the completion of the Coaching in Schools module I went on to work

    at various schools in the North West of England. I also have experience in managing the

    Under 11s squad at Skelmersdale CC and was praised for the job I did in my first year as a

    coach.

    Other Sports

    I enjoy watching Football and like to play occasionally. I also like to take part in adventurous

    sports and would like the opportunity to take part in such activities in the future. During my

    time in the RAF I attended force development weeks at Fairbourne, Wales and Grantown,

    Scotland.

    Throughout my undergraduate study I had the opportunity to develop my leadership

    qualities. As part of the program I was tasked with leading multi-disciplinary teams in order

    to solve real life construction problems. I managed teams of twelve at a time and these were

    made up of architects, quantity surveyors, building surveyors, facilities management and

    investment students.

    In 2011 I also had the opportunity to work at a summer camp held at V

    Entrepreneurship

    At university I was president of the Student Entrepreneurs Network at Salford University,during this time I set up a number of small businesses and helped local businesses tosucceed along with my colleagues. I am business minded and have recently discovered apassion for internet marketing.

    Socialising

    I enjoy going out with friends and I also take the opportunity to socialise with people fromdifferent backgrounds and walks of life.
