Updating project plans to include agreed changes. Producing accurate financial reports. Monitoring actual expenditure figures against project budgets.Organising and facilitating Project Steering / Operating Committees meetings

Duties

Managed the project team including any subcontractors. Ensuring Projects and Programmes are executed using agreed standards & processes.Reviewed and approved all project documentation. Resolved any problems and issues that arose. Undertook all monthly project financial cost reporting.Preparing status reports for use in communication to stakeholders.Escalating issues and areas of concern to senior managers. Ensured staff and sub contractors timesheets were accurately completed.Generating Work Packages and Work Instructions.Provided project support for all off site activities

Planning and scheduling of work at site; obtaining labor license from D.L.O; Coordinating with client for getting drawings approved; Acknowledging receipt of materials; supervision of works and execution as per drawings and adhering to quality and safety regulations; and processing of bills of all sub-contractors; coordination and follow up with client for realization of bills; attending review meetings with client; carry out joint inspection works with client; preparation of final bill and submission to client; Responsible for all security deposits like H.R, Telephone, Labor License fee etc; Inform D.L.O about closing of our activities; Obtain Taking over certificate from client, Store handling, Material Reconciliation.

Job DescriptionMain Focus area of this position will be Mech Projects but also will look after small Civil Projects.

-> This position is responsible to provide Inputs for estimation, planning, project schedule and coordination with various departments, to execute project from concept to commissioning for port facility project. This candidate must have port infrastructure, material handling equipment experience

-> This position provides input for project, operation, expansion and modifications of the activities for providing economical and quality end result to business unit. Responsible for leading from front to achieve goal of the organization and proper communication with the team and thereby ensuring that safety, productivity and efficiency standards are met in support of the new project or expansion of existing facilities.

-> Understands business requirements, prepares projects updates and brief description. Extends approved scheme into a real project by preparing basic and detailed engineering and finalizes BoQ for the job.

-> Prepares approval note, coordinates with commercial and user department for correctness of assumed data.

-> Responsible for contract site works, quality checks, schedule follow up and timely reporting to management for progress.

-> Executes projects, prepares punch list and follow up for solutions. Keeps record of warranty obligation and hands over responsibility to concerned team for follow up for pending points if any.

-> Anticipates problems; manages prevention; recognizes the key issues in problems and creates contingency plans and alternative solutions. Evaluates solutions for both long and short-term benefit.

-> Together with the Business Process Analysis, drive and support to the entire services of the port.

-> To plan inputs for the Budget by correct estimates of the expenditure involved in procurement, operation, maintenance and upgrades, in order to meet the required standards of end user.

-> Involve in port day to day operation and maintenance activities for enhance port performance.

-> Demonstrates safety and cost consciousness in all areas of work; strives to improve terminals cost position.

-> Involvement in maintenance and improvement of existing system. Cost break up for maintenance activities. Prepares report to reach to a solution to achieve reduced per unit investment.

-> Fostering co-operation and Team work. Exhibits conflict resolution and negotiation skills

-> Initiate innovations and involvement in projects which are the requirement

Analyzing, preparing, and implementing the master project schedule program & micro-level planning. Adapt at Primavera & Microsoft Project and other tools of Project planning & resource loading. Anticipate and catch deviations from a plan or schedule early and take corrective actions.

Coordinate and monitor actual progress at site. Plan for Manpower and P&M requirement for the project at site.

Coordinating and communicating with consultants, customers and sub-contractors and eliminate bottlenecks during the project execution. Coordination between engineering department, purchase department and ensure deliverables according to the schedule.

Thorough understanding on all contractual terms and conditions of the contract & handling commercial and contractual terms with the client, contractors, & consultants.

Preparation of Billing Breakup. Billing and collection every month in timely and effective manner for every activity carried out in project. Revenue cycle management and cash collections for all projects as per best practices.

Excellent in communications-both verbal & written. Able to get ideas across in a non-confrontational manner in one-to-one situations, and with customers, consultants & contractors. Thorough with documentation and project claim and contract related correspondences & monitoring on monthly basis.

Preparation of construction budget & costing. Knowledge of work contract/VAT/excise rules/CST regulations preferred.

Expertise in claim management of time & cost

Responsible for bringing the project to a close, which include creating end of project report, holding sunset meetings and activities, and capturing relevant lessons learned.Salary:As per market
