Working for the PGCIL 11R Project: Substation package for Extension of 11 existing S/S across 5 states of India

Client: Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Project Detail: It’s a Substation package for extension of 11 existing S/S across M.P., Gujarat,

Maharashtra, Chattisgarh & UT of DNH. Scope consists of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 400kV Reactors & associated equipments.

10 S/S out of the Total 11 S/S have been commissioned before L2 schedule simultaneously.

Worked for the 2X300 MW EMCO Thermal Power Project, Warora, Distt: Chandrapur, Maharashtra. Client: GMR EMCO Energy Ltd. Project Detail: It’s an eBOP project on Turnkey basis, scope consists of Engineering, Procurement,

Construction, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 400kv Switchyard, Transformer yard, Control Room Building & eBoP.

Worked for the Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion, Phase VIII Project, Doha, Qatar Client: Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation - KAHRAMAA Project Detail: Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion Phase VIII Project consists of the

completion of 14 Substations packages on a turnkey basis. 9 substations out of total executed by ALSTOM T&D India Ltd. and 5 substations by ALSTOM T&D SA, France. This contract is worth more than Two Billion Qatar Riyals.

Chief tasks handled

Coordination & Execution of Project Activities to achieve the Project Objective as per the Project constraints i.e. Time, Cost & Scope from Project Initiation to Project Closeout Phases.

Coordination with Engineering Team for completion of the Engineering activities as per the schedule including Submission of Engineering documents, Estimation of Bill of Materials/Purchase Specs, Documents required for supplier information, information/documents required by site team etc.

Coordination with Sourcing & SCM Team - Monitoring for placement of Purchase Orders, Manufacturing, inspections & delivery of the Materials as per the Project schedule and site requirements.

Coordination with Site/Construction Team for Civil Construction, Erection, Testing & Commissioning work at site.

Coordination with Vendors for timely completion of the complete product cycle including Drawings approval, Manufacturing, Inspections & Dispatch. Coordination with Contractors for timely completion of site construction activities.

Monitoring of the Project deliverables with all stakeholders. Monitoring of Budget/Cost through the EA Sheet, Budget Deviation Register & Risk Opportunity Register. Ensuring Sales & Cash for the project. Recognition / Reward : Recognized by the Unit Managing Director as “ALSTAR – ALSTOM Star

Commissioning/testing & Maintenance of equipments including 5 MVA transformers, 2 MVA transformers, HT motors, LT motors, HOT ESP, 11KV switch board, 3.3KV switchboard, Power and Motor control centre etc.

Planning & effecting preventative maintenance schedules of various machineries & equipments to increase machine up time & equipment reliability.

Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools.

Increasing mean time between failures & reducing Mean time to repair the machines, thereby increasing productivity.

Successfully executed Annual Shutdown activities thrice (in Sterlite Copper Ltd., Tuticorin, Tamilnadu & in the Plant itself).
