Message from the study director:We hope you are enjoying your summer! I want to thank you for participating in the ReThink study, whether you’ve completed your interviews, or you just enrolled and downloaded CUTA for the first time. Your participation is very important.

The ReThink study is now in its third year, and on track to becoming the largest study of child/adolescent anxiety in the world! It would not be possible without you. Thanks again for participating in the study and enjoy the following tips, news and reminders.

Greg Clarke, PhD

Tips for going back to schoolGet on a regular sleep routine, and disconnect from electronic devices and TV a few hours before bedtime. It can be hard to go from a summer of sleeping-in to early morning school days. Sticking to a schedule will help.

Stay active for a healthy brain! Try a new sport, like rock climbing, or even laser tag, and commit to doing something active for at least 60 minutes a week.

Clinical trials are a key research tool for advancing medical knowledge and patient care. Clinical research is done only if doctors don’t know:

• whether a new approach works well for people

• which treatments or strategies work best for certain groups of people.

The follow-up interviews help us to see how you are doing, good or bad, and are essential to helping us figure out if the study can benefit teens like you. Even if you haven’t completed any CUTA sessions, your feedback is still important.

If you have already completed all five of your interviews, thank you! And remember, you can still claim any unredeemed gift cards by logging in to your account at https://www.kpchr.org/rethink/. If you need help logging in or forgot your password, just let us know by email at [email protected].
