MacDonald, Ph.D. Interim Director School of Social Work Dalhousie University Dear Students, Retirement of Dr. Wanda Thomas Bernard: School of Social Work, Faculty of Health Professions, Dalhousie University, 1990 – 2017 Wanda has taught at the School of Social Work since 1990 – twenty-seven years of dedication, development of creative pedagogy, discovery of innovative methods, research from the margins, bringing community into the classroom, imagining distance education as a platform for program delivery, equity at the centre of teaching and learning to name only a few of her initiatives. We are looking for student feedback on your experiences of being a student in Wanda’s classroom, either virtual or live. Please provide short sentences, key words, or creative expressions of your learning experiences with Dr. Bernard. The intent is to gather these expressions into a presentation for Dr. Bernard’s retirement event on Friday, April 7th at the School of Social Work.
