I. INTRODUCTION ThisdocumentrepresentsSetonHillUniversity’scurrentplansforthereturnofemployeesandstudentstocampusandresumingin-personinstructionandresidentiallivingduringtheCOVID-19pandemic.SetonHill’splanfollowsthePennsylvaniaDepartmentofEducation’sguidelinesfortheresumptionofface-to-faceclassesandresidentiallivingforcollegesanduniversitiesunderthe“YellowPhase”and“GreenPhase”ofGov.TomWolf’splantoreopenPennsylvania.TheplanrepresentsSetonHillUniversity’sbestinformationtodateonhowtheuniversitycansafelyoperatein-personclassesaswellasresidentialanddiningfacilities.SetonHill’splanningwillcontinuetoevolvebasedonupdatedinstitutionaldecisions,theprevalenceofCOVID-19inWestmorelandCountyandsurroundingareasandadditionalguidelinesfromlocal,stateorfederalauthorities,including,butnotlimitedtotheCentersforDiseaseControlandPrevention,theCommonwealthofPennsylvania,theNCAAandPSAC.Ultimately,thisplanwillbalancetheuniversity’sconcernforthehealth,safetyandwellbeingoftheentireSetonHillcampuscommunitywithourmissionofprovidingourstudentswithaliberalartseducationcomplementedbyprofessionalpreparationinavibrantlearningandlivingenvironment.AnyproposalscontainedinthisplanaresubjecttotheevolvingrulesandguidanceissuedbytheU.S.CentersforDiseaseControlandPrevention(CDC);PennsylvaniaGovernorTomWolf;thePennsylvaniaDepartmentofHealth;thePennsylvaniaDepartmentofEducation;theNCAA;andthePennsylvaniaStateAthleticConference(PSAC).
II. ABOUTSETONHILLUNIVERSITY
Charteredin1918,SetonHillUniversityisanationally-recognizedCatholiccoeducationalliberalartsuniversityfoundedbytheSistersofCharity.TheUniversityislocatedinsouthwesternPennsylvania’sLaurelHighlands,approximately35milesfromPittsburgh.AnAppleDistinguishedSchoolsince2012,SetonHillUniversitycontinuestoberecognizedforitsdistinctiveeffortstointegratemobiletechnologythroughoutthecampusbyprovidingtheentireuniversitycommunitywithboththetoolsandthesupporttheyneedtoenrichteachingandlearning.Withmorethan80undergraduateprograms,14graduateprogramsandanAdultDegreeProgram,SetonHillprovidesworld-classprofessionalpreparationundergirdedbytheliberalarts.SetonHillhasalsobeennamedamongtheBestRegionalUniversitiesandasaBestValueSchoolintheNorthbyU.S.News&WorldReport.
III. REPOPULATIONOFCAMPUSInMarch2020astheimpactoftheCOVID-19pandemicbeganbeingfeltintheUnitedStatesandintheeasternpartofPennsylvania,SetonHillUniversityadministratorsquicklyimplementedaplantohaltallin-personclasses,closeuniversityresidencehallsandmoveallemployeestoremoteworkexceptthosedeemedessentialforsafetyandcontinuityofoperations.SetonHilltooktheseactionsoutofanabundanceofcaution,beforelocalcases

ofCOVID-19werereportedinWestmorelandCounty,andbeforeGov.TomWolfclosedallnon-life-sustainingbusinessesinPennsylvania.OnMay15,Gov.TomWolfmovedWestmorelandCounty–thehomeofSetonHillUniversity–intotheYellowPhaseofhisreopeningplanforPennsylvania.Assuch,SetonHillUniversityispermittedtohaveadministrators,facultyandstaffoncampustoprepareforthearrivalofstudentsoncampusinthefall.Still,mostemployeesremainedworkingremotelyduringthisYellowPhase.OnJune5,WestmorelandCountyenteredtheGreenPhaseofGov.Wolf’splan.Assuch,SetonHillUniversityemployeeswillbeginasafeandstrategicreturntoon-campusworkbeginningJuly6.Thefollowingsectiondetailsplansfortherepopulationofcampusbybothemployeesandstudentsandtheprotocolsthatmustbefollowedtoprioritizethehealthandsafetyoftheentireuniversitycommunity.
A. PhysicalDistancinginOffices
Inordertofacilitatethereturnofemployeestocampus,SetonHillwillmodifyhigh-densityworkspacesbyinstallingplexiglassandotherbarrierstoensureproperphysicaldistancing.Staffandfacultywiththeirownofficeswillbeencouragedtoclosetheirofficedoorswheneverpossible.Employeesmayberequiredtoobservenewstaggeredworkstartandstoptimestopreventgatheringsoflargegroupsenteringorleavingthepremisesatthesametime.Supervisorswilladviseemployeesofapplicableshiftchanges.
B. RemoteWork
Insomecases,remoteworkmaystillberequiredand/orallowedevenwhentheuniversityisoperatingundertheGreenPhase,particularlytoaccommodatephysicaldistancingmeasuresinhigh-densityofficeareas.Remoteworkmayalsobenecessaryifchildcareissuesariseduetotheongoingpandemic.Supervisorswillworkwithindividualemployeesonremoteworkplans.
In-personmeetingswillcontinuetobelimitedandwebortelephonicplatformswillbeencouraged,particularlyforlargemeetingformats,evenwhenallpartiesareoncampus.In-personmeetingswillnotexceed75percentofaroom’scapacitywithphysicaldistancingofsixfeetbetweenparticipantsrequired.C. High-RiskPopulationsSetonHillwillworktoprovidereasonableaccommodationsforpopulationswithinitscommunitywhoareathigherriskforhealthcomplicationsduetoCOVID-19.
Employeeswhobelievetheyfallinahigh-riskcategoryforCOVID-19complicationshavebeenaskedtoself-identifytotheOfficeofHumanResources.SetonHillwillworktoprovidereasonableaccommodationstoemployeesbasedonguidelinesissuedbytheEqualEmploymentOpportunityCommission(EEOC).

Studentsinhigh-riskpopulationswillbeaskedtoself-identifytotheOfficeoftheRegistrarsothatreasonableaccommodationscanbemadeasneeded.
UseofelevatorswillbereservedforvulnerablepopulationsandthoseSetonHillcommunitymembersunabletotakethestairs.
D. COVID-19TrainingforStudents,FacultyandStaff
PriortothebeginningoftheFall2020semester,allSetonHillUniversitystudentsandemployeeswillberequiredtoparticipateinavideotrainingpreparedbySetonHillpersonnelinvariousareas(HealthServices,Faculty,Custodial,DiningServices,ResidenceLife)onuniversitypoliciesandproceduresrelatedtoCOVID-19aswellasbestpracticesforstayinghealthyandavoidingthespreadofthevirus.ThevideowillberequiredviewingbeforeastudentoremployeeisabletologintoMySHUpriortotheFallsemester.Employeesandstudentswillbeeducatedonproperhandwashing,physicaldistancing,theuseofmasks,howtopreventcontractingandspreadingviruses,contacttracing,andhowtoassistSetonHillthroughthispandemic.
Thevideopresentationwillincludeashortquizthatstudents,facultyandstaffmusttake.Studentswillalsoacknowledgeandelectronicallysignasocialcontractafterwatchingthevideoandtakingthequiz.Oncethesestepsarecompleted,theuserwillbeabletofullyaccessMySHU.E.ResidenceHallRepopulationPlanAsaresidentialinstitution,SetonHillUniversity’sgoalistoprovideon-campushousingtostudentsaslongasitremainssafetodoso.SetonHillhasdevelopedthefollowingplansinordertorepopulateresidencehallsoncampusinthesafestwaypossible.
1)ResidentialCapacity
Undernormalcircumstances,SetonHillUniversitycanhouseupto945undergraduatestudentsinitsresidencehalls.Giventhecomplexitiesanduncertaintiessurroundingresidentialhousingduringthepandemic,theuniversityisplanningforthreemainscenariosifwearepermittedtohousestudentsintheFall2020semester.
Thefirstreducesstudenthousingcapacitytoaround900shiftingallthreepersonroomstotwopersonroomslimitingallindividualbedroomstonomorethantwopeople.Thesecondreducesstudenthousingcapacitytoaround800students,anticipatingthatmorestudentsthanusualwillrequestsinglerooms.
Thethirdscenarioreducesstudenthousingcapacitytoaround600students,anticipatingthatgovernmentregulationsmayprohibitSetonHillfromhousingmultiplestudentsinthesamebedroom.

SetonHillwillprefertoenactscenarioonelimitingstudentstonomorethantwoperbedroomifallowed.Theuniversitybelievesthatifon-campushousingisnotavailable,morestudentswillchoosetolivetogetherinoff-campushousingwithnostringentcleaningprotocolsorphysicaldistancingprocedures,increasingthelikelihoodofthesestudentscontractingCOVID-19.SetonHillUniversitywillalsosetasideseparatehousingunitsforstudentswhomayneedisolationandquarantineduetoprobableorconfirmedexposuretoCOVID-19.
Theuniversityisalsoexploringresidentialopportunitiesoffcampusifneededtoaccommodatestudentswhoneedhousing.
2) COVID-19StudentCodeofConduct/HousingContractAddendumSetonHillstudentswillplayacriticalroleinmitigatingthespreadofCOVID-19ontheuniversity’scampusandintheoutsidecommunity.
AllstudentswillberequiredtoreviewaCOVID-19mitigationtrainingvideo(mentionedearlierinthedocument)beforebeingallowedtoaccessMySHUpriortothestartoftheFall2020Semester.
Inaddition,allstudentswillberequiredtoreviewandsignaSetonHillUniversityCOVID-19StudentCodeofConductoutliningtheirrolesandresponsibilitiesfortheirpersonalhealthandthehealthandsafetyofothersoncampusandinthecommunity.TheStudentCodeofConductwilloutlinerequirementsformaskwearing,physicaldistancing,testing,quarantineandisolation,andcontacttracingandwouldallowforremovalfromcampusifastudentrefusestofollowtherulesimposedbytheuniversityand/orgovernmentandhealthofficials.
ResidentstudentswillberequiredtosignaHousingContractAddendumthatoutlinesparticularrulesandregulationsimposedonresidentstudents.TheHousingContractAddendumwouldoutlinerequirementsforwearingamaskincommonareasofresidencehalls,physicaldistancinginloungesandothercommonresidencehallspaces,andtheprohibitiononguestsfromoutsidecampusinresidencehalls,andwouldallowforremovalfromresidencehallsifastudentrefusestofollowthecontractrequirements.
3) ResidenceHallsMove-InProcess
SetonHillUniversitywillsignificantlyexpandthetimeframeforitsmove-inprocesstoallowforthegreatestamountofphysicaldistancingpossible.
TheuniversitywillcontinuetofollowitsnormalprotocolofRAstaffmovinginfirstfollowedbyfallsportsathletesbeforemove-inforfirst-yearstudentsandthegeneralresidentstudentpopulationwouldbegin.

Residentstudentswillbeassignedaone-hourwindowformove-in.Thewindowswillbeassignedtoreducethenumberofresidentswhowillbemovingintooneareaatthesametime.First-yearstudents–whotraditionallyareassistedbystudentvolunteersonmove-inday-willbeassignedasmallgroup(3-4people)ofspecialstafforstudentvolunteerconciergeswhowillassistinthecompleteunloadingoftheirvehiclebeforemovingtoassistanotherassignedstudent.TheconciergeswillfollowphysicaldistancingandwearappropriatePPE,includingamaskandgloves.Theconciergeswillensuretheyfollowproperhygienerequirementsbeforemovingtotheirnextassignedfirst-yearstudent.
Internationalstudentswhoarecomingtocampusfromabroadand/orfromdomesticCOVID-19hotspotsasdefinedbytheCentersforDiseaseControlandPreventionwillneedtoquarantinefor14daysinanon-campuslocationorinanareanotunderashelter-in-placeorstay-at-homeorder.SetonHillUniversitywilllimitthenumbersoffamilymembers,friendsand/orotherswhocanassisteachstudentduringmove-in.Onlytwosupportpersonswillbeallowedoncampusperresidentstudent.Inaddition,theuniversitywillreservetherighttoconducttemperaturechecksofresidentstudentsandtheirtwosupportpersonsintheeventsuchtemperaturechecksarerequiredbystateorfederalauthorities.SetonHillwillincludeinformationaboutanysuchrequirementsinitsmove-incommunicationstoresidentstudents.
IV. PREVENTION,MONITORINGANDSURVEILLANCE
A.Overview Asaresidentialcollegecampusengagedinface-to-facelearning,SetonHill
UniversitymustbepreparedtoimplementaCOVID-19planwithdiseaseprevention,monitoringandsurveillanceasakeycomponent.ThissectionoftheSetonHillUniversityReturntoCampusplanwilldetaileffortsinpreventingthespreadofdisease;monitoringtheSetonHillcommunityforearlysignsofillness,includingfever;testingproceduresforfaculty,staffandstudentsuponarrivaloncampusifsuchtestingcapabilitiesareavailableandadvisableaswellasduringthecourseoftheacademicyearinthecaseofsuspectedcases;adoptingcontacttracingproceduresincaseofsuspectedorconfirmedcasesofCOVID-19inthecampuscommunity;andinformingfaculty,staffandstudentsonbestpracticestocombatthevirus.SetonHill’seffortsonearlydetectionandpromptisolationofnewcasesandthosewhohavebeenexposedwillhelptheuniversitytogreatlymitigateCOVID-19transmissionthroughtheuniversitycommunity.
B.RoleoftheOfficeofCounseling,DisabilityandHealthServices
TheOfficeofCounseling,DisabilityandHealthServicesatSetonHillwillbeasubstantialresourcefortheuniversitycommunityindevelopingandmaintainingprotocolsandforimplementingplansrelatedtoCOVID-19testing,diagnosis,

contacttracing,andisolationandquarantineofmembersofthecampuscommunityasneeded.
SetonHillcurrentlyhasoneNursePractitioneronstaff.Theuniversityisintheprocessofhiringanadditionalnursetoaccommodatetheneedsoftheuniversity’sgrowingstudentpopulationandthespecialcircumstancesrelatedtothepandemic.
TheOfficeofCounseling,DisabilityandHealthServices,andinparticulartheNursePractitioner,willserveastheuniversity’skeyconnectionwiththePennsylvaniaDepartmentofHealthand,inparticular,itsWestmorelandCountyoffice.Byservingasthepointareaofcontact,theofficeanditsstaffwillregularlycommunicatewiththeDepartmentofHealthtorelayinformationaboutknowncasesofCOVID-19oncampusaswellasreceiveimportantinformationoncommunityspreadofCOVID-19.Inaddition,SetonHillwillrenovatetheuniversity’sHealthCentertoincludetheadditionofanotherexaminationroomtoaccommodateadditionalexaminations.TheOfficeofCounseling,DisabilityandHealthServiceswillcontinuetoprovidestudents,facultyandstaffwithhealthandwellnessopportunities,includingvaccinationandtestingclinics(e.g.influenza,shingles,tuberculosis),andeducationalmessagingtopromotehealthychoices.
C.TestingforCOVID-19Theriskofinfectionexistsuntilweareabletoachieveherdimmunitythroughimmunizationoractualinfectionandrecovery.Todate,therearenovaccineorpreventativemedicationsonthemarket;untilthattime,physicaldistancing,properhandwashingandhygiene,wearingfacemasks,disinfectingsurfaces,viraltesting,contacttracing,isolation,andquarantineareourbeststrategiestocontrolthespreadofCOVID-19.
TheCDCdoesnotrecommendtestingasymptomaticindividuals;however,guidelinespublishedbyAmericanCollegeHealthAssociationonMay7,2020state:“Returntoanactiveon-campusenvironmentwilldependuponwidespreadtesting,contacttracing,andisolation/quarantineofillandexposedindividualsbothoncampusandinthecommunity.”
Clinicalguidelinesbasedonbestpracticearefluidandwillrequireconstantupdating.SetonHillUniversityisdevelopingCOVID-19testingaccountswithQuestDiagnosticsandExcelaHealth.SetonHillisconsideringUniversalTestingforallfaculty,staffandstudentspriortothestartoftheFall2020Semesterandatthebeginningofsubsequentsemestersasneeded.Universaltestingmaybedependentontheavailabilityofatestingprogram,inparticulartheavailabilityofRapidResponseTests,insouthwesternPennsylvania.SetonHillwillcontinuetoupdatethecampuscommunityonprotocolsforUniversalTestingifandwhentheybecomeavailable.

SetonHillwillreservetherighttoteststudents,facultyandstaffcomingfromCOVID-19hotspotsdomesticallyandinternationallyandwill,followingexistingCDCguidelines,requiretestsofthosewhoshowsymptomsofCOVID-19andthoseexposedtootherswhohavetestedpositive.
Intheeventitisneeded,aprivateoutdoorareawillbereservedforCOVID-19testingoncampus.
Anystudents,facultyorstaffwhotestpositivewillberequiredtoquarantineuntiltheyareretestedandreceivetwonegativetestresultsatleast24hoursapartaslongassuchtestingisaccessible.Ifitisdeterminedbyamedicalprofessionalthatonememberofasuiteorroommatepairneedstobetested,theneveryonelivingtogetherwillneedtobetested.Allstudentsinroomsthatshareaprivatebathroomwillquarantineinthatspacewhileawaitingresults,andallstudentsinroomsthathaveahallbathwillbequarantinedinanotherlocationuntiltheresultsarereceived.
o Ifanyonetestspositive,theywillbeaskedtorelocatetotheirprimaryresidenceifpossibleandiftheyareabletotravelthereusingprivatetransportation.
o Ifstudentscannotreturntotheirprimaryresidence,anystudentinaresidencehallwithsharedbathroomswillberelocatedtoanotherlocationforisolation.
§ Forsuiteswithprivatebathroomstheratiooftheroomwillbeassessed.Ifthereare2ormorestudentsthattestpositivetheyshouldremaininthatlocationinisolation,andtheremainingstudentswithnegativetestswillberelocated.Whenthestudentswhotestedpositiverecoverandproducetwonegativetests,cleaningofthespacewilltakeplaceandtherelocatedstudentscanreturntothespace.
Throughouttheacademicyear,students,facultyandstaffwillbesubjecttotestingassymptomsariseandasaresultofpositivetestswithinthecampuscommunity.
D.ContactTracingProtocolContacttracingisakeystrategyforpreventingfurtherspreadofCOVID-19.Itistheprocessofidentifyingandsupportingindividualswhohavebeenincontactwithindividualswhohaveasuspected,orconfirmed,COVID-19infection.ContacttracingispartofamultifacetedapproachtofighttheCOVID-19pandemicandmitigatediseasetransmission.SetonHillstafffromtheOfficeofCounseling,DisabilityandHealthServicesaswellastheDivisionofStudentAffairshasparticipatedinvariousonlinetrainingofferingsinregardstoContactTracing.KeystaffmemberswillalsobeparticipatinginanextendedcourseofferedthroughtheCommunityCollegeofAlleghenyCounty.AdditionalSetonHillstaffaswellasResidentAssistantswillbetrainedinpropercontacttracingprotocolsandwillbeengagedincontacttracingeffortsasnecessary.

Ifanappropriatemobileapplicationisavailable,SetonHillstudents,facultyandstaffwillberequiredtodownloaditontheirmobiledevicestoallowforpropercontacttracing.
MembersoftheContactTracingTeaminclude:
• CaseInvestigator• ContactTracers• CareCoordinators• MedicalProfessionals• RepresentativesfromthePennsylvaniaDepartmentofHealth
StepsofContactTracing(refertothe“ContractTracingDocument”intheAppendicesforin-depthdetailsofallthestepsaswellasresourcesmentionedintheprotocol).Step1:
• InitialnotificationofPersonUnderInvestigation(PUI);thiswillbedonewithin24hoursafteraPUIisidentified.
o ProvidePUIwithisolationguidelinesandhealtheducation(e.g.,symptomsofCOVID-19andwhentoseekmedicalcare)
Step2:• InterviewthePUI
o Discussconfidentialityandverifydemographics(referto“InterviewScriptsforContacts”)
o ObtainalistofindividualswithwhomthePUIhadclosecontactwithin48hoursbeforetheonsetofsymptoms.

J. TeachingandLearningDuringCOVID-19DespitethechallengespresentedbytheCOVID-19pandemic,themissionofSetonHillUniversityremainsthesame.Wemustcontinuetoeducatestudentstothinkandactcritically,creatively,andethicallyasproductivemembersofsocietycommittedtotransformingtheworld.
Maintainingface-to-faceteachingandlearningopportunitiesfortheSetonHillcommunitywhileensuringthesafetyoftheentirecommunitywilltakeacreativeandcollaborativeapproach.
1) AlternativeAcademicCalendar
SetonHilliscurrentlyplanningtooperateunderanalternativeacademiccalendarfortheFall2020Semester.
Underthisplan,theuniversitywillbegintraditionalclassesonMonday,August17–aweekearlierthanoriginallyscheduled.ClasseswillcontinueuninterruptedthroughthetraditionalFallBreakinOctoberandclasseswillendpriortoThanksgiving.ThereisnochangetothescheduleforSandMsessions.ThisstreamlinedapproachisdesignedtolimitstudentandfacultytravelduringthesemesterandlimittheintroductionofCOVID-19tothecampuscommunityfrompotentialhotspotsinotherpartsofthecountryorworldasidentifiedbytheCentersforDiseaseControlandPrevention.PleaserefertotheAppendicesfortheAcademicCalendarandFinalExamSchedule.

SetonHillUniversityfacultywillconsideravarietyofteachingmodalitiestoaccommodatetheneedtomaintainphysicaldistancingprotocolswhilestillprovidingstudentswithahigh-qualityeducation.
SetonHillfacultywillengageinworkshopsduringtheSummerof2020throughSetonHill’sInnovativeTeachingandLearningCenterthatwillprovidethemadditionalstrategiestohelpthemprepareforavarietyofteachingmodalitiesthatmayberequiredbecauseofCOVID-19.
SetonHillwillprioritizein-personinstructionforcourseswhereacademicoutcomescannotbeeasilyachievedormeasuredinvirtualformats,includingvisualandperformingartsclasses,sciencelaboratories,andhealthcareclinicallabsandexperiences.

TheSetonHillUniversityCenterforOrthodonticsfollowstheprotectivehealthandsafetyguidelinesissuedbyCDCandtheCommissiononDentalAccreditation(CODA).TheCenterwillcontinuetoprovideasafeenvironmentforpatients,residentstudents,doctorsandstaff;thefollowingprotocolsareinplace:

7) StudentTeaching
SetonHillexpectsstudentteachingwillbepermittedtooccurduringtheFall2020semesterasPennsylvaniaschoolsareallowedtoopenunderGov.Wolf’splantoreopenPennsylvania.However,itisunclearatthiswritingunderwhatformats(face-to-face,virtualorhybrid)individualschoolsandschooldistrictswillreturnandwhetherschoolswillhoststudentteachers.

InternshipsareanintegralpartoftheSetonHillUniversityFitfortheWorldCareerReadinessProgramandprovidestudentswithvaluablereal-worldexperienceintheirchosencareerpaths.TheCOVID-19pandemichasgreatlyalteredthelandscapeforcompanies,manyofwhomhavehadtomovetoremoteworksituationsduetostay-at-homeorders.Inmanycases,companiesmaynothavethecapacitytobringoninternsduetophysicaldistancingrequirements.SetonHill’sOfficeofCareerandProfessionalDevelopmentwillworkwithstudentsandtheirfacultyadvisorsonfindinganappropriateinternshipgiventhelimitationsthatmaybeimposedbythepandemic.Theinternshipmayincludeface-to-face,virtualand/orproject-basedcomponentsdependingonplacementopportunities.9) StudyAbroad

K.UniversityDiningOperations
SetonHillUniversity’sdiningservicesvendor,Aramark,takesthehealthandsafetyoftheuniversitycommunityseriously.Aramarkwillfollowtherequiredfederal,stateandlocalguidelinesinthepreparationandservingoffoodandthecleanlinessofcampusdiningfacilities.AramarkwillalsoenforceitsownemployeeguidelinesandDepartmentofAgricultureprotocolstoprioritizecustomersafetyandconfidence.Locationmanagerswilldotwodailywalkthroughsofallfoodandbeveragesitesoncampustoensurepoliciesarebeingexecutedcorrectly.SetonHillUniversitywillsignificantlylimitthenumberofpeopleallowedinsideLoweDiningHallatanyonetimetoprovideforproperphysicaldistancing.

Atthiswriting,aTrafficIdentificationWorkingGroupisanalyzingcampusspacesandmakingrecommendationsformodificationstobuildingingress/egress;limitingdirectionsinstairwells;and/oradjustinghallwaytrafficpatternsasnecessary.Thegroupwillinstalldirectionalsignagethroughoutcampustoassiststudents,facultyandstaffinmaintainingphysicaldistancing.

IntheeventofconfirmedorsuspectedcasesofCOVID-19onSetonHill’scampusoraresurgenceofcasesinthelocalcommunity,SetonHillwillimplementquarantineandisolationproceduresforfaculty,staffandstudentswhotestedpositiveorwhohavecomeintocontactwithanindividualwhohastestedpositive.A. QuarantineandIsolationHousingProcess
SetonHillUniversitywillprovideappropriatespaceforisolationand/orquarantineofresidentstudentswhohavebeenexposedtoCOVID-19,aresuspectedtohavecontractedthevirusorhavebeenconfirmedthroughlaboratorytestingtohavethenovelcoronavirus.On-campusquarantinewillbeavailableforresidentstudentsprovidedthatsuchaccommodationsarepermittedunderGovernorWolf’splanforresidentialcollegesanduniversities.
Incaseoncampusisolationisnotpermittedorresidencehallsmustbeclosedduetogovernmentordersorothercircumstances,SetonHillwillcollectemergencyplanninginformationfromeveryresidentstudentpriortothestartoftheFall2020semesterthatassessestheirpersonalplanstoleavecampusshoulditbecomenecessary.
Isolationand/orquarantineofresidentstudentswillfollowtheseguidelinesfromtheAmericanCollegeHealthAssociation:

CleaningProtocols–PositiveCases
IfapositivecaseofCOVID-19isdiscoveredwithintheuniversitycommunity,SetonHillUniversitywillusecontacttracingtodetermineareasoncampusinwhichtheyinfectedpersonhadbeeninthe48hourspriortothedevelopmentofsymptomsand/orapositivetest.Enhancedcleaningprotocolswillbeusedinthoseareasinwhichthepersonhadbeen.Thiscleaningmaynecessitatethetemporaryclosingofanofficeorclassroom.

ThediscoveryofapositiveCOVID-19case(s)oncampusmayresultinSetonHillUniversitylimitingmovementonandoffcampusforshortperiodsoftimeasnecessary,including:

limits;- “RedFlagDays”–Allclasseswouldbevirtual;residentstudentsmuststayin
residencehallsexcepttoretrievegrabandgomeals.

E. TravelRestrictions
SetonHillUniversitystudents,facultyandstaffhaveasharedresponsibilitytoprotectthehealthandsafetyofthecampuscommunityandshouldbemindfulofanytravelthatmayincreasetheirriskofexposuretoCOVID-19andthereforeelevatetheriskofexposingothersoncampustothevirus.SetonHillmayneedtolimittravelofstudents,facultyandstafftowithina50-mileradiusofcampusifconditionsrequireit.SetonHillwillnotpermittraveltoknownCOVID-19hotspotsasdefinedbytheCentersforDiseaseControlandPreventioneitherdomesticallyorinternationally.Students,facultyorstaffwhotraveltohotspotsduringthesemesterwillnotbepermittedbackontocampusuntiltheyhaveisolatedfor14daysandhavenotexhibitedsymptomsofCOVID-19attheendoftheisolationperiod.EmployeesshouldinformtheirsupervisorsofanyupcomingpersonaltravelsothatappropriatearrangementsforremoteworkcanbemadeintheeventtheareaoftravelbecomesaknownCOVID-19hotspotduringorimmediatelyaftertheemployee’stravelandtheemployeemustisolate.
