Please read these carefully. Plan to discuss any questions that arise from them, at the parent interviews in the last week of term. The Parent Interviews are on Tuesday 10 th April between 1:30 and 7:30pm, or on Wednesday, 11 th April between 3:30 and 5:30pm. Bookings can be made, online, using www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and the event code grj9c. If you are unable to make bookings online yourself you can still book an interview by calling the office and having Kathy or Donelle book it for you. Maretta Hodgson, Public Health Nurse, will be available for interviews on Tuesday 10 th April between 2:00 and 5:00pm. Please book a time with her online, the same as you would a teacher. Classes end at 12:40pm on Tuesday 10 th April To allow more time for parent interviews on Tuesday 10 th April, classes will end at 12:40pm (lunchtime) and the Parent Interviews will start at 1:30pm. Children can walk home (if that’s what usually happens at home time). Parents can pick them up, if that’s what normally happens. Teachers are busy conducting interviews, so children who remain at school are unsupervised. If they need to remain at school we ask that you enroll them in Kelly Club for the afternoon (after School Care) which will start at 1pm. You need to arrange this by phoning Deejay on 021 176 9290. She is offering a supervised movie and popcorn at a cost of $7 per child. Buses will run at the normal times for any bus students who are still here at 3pm. Life Choices Last year we conducted a survey of our staff and community about Bible in Schools, to determine the level of support for the programme. The results indicated that two thirds (67%) support some level of Bible in Schools programme operating. Suggestions from the survey also led to changes in the programme, so last year, and again this year, the programme offered is Life Choices. If you would like to view examples of the lessons, these are available at the school office. We recognize that some families would prefer their children not to attend the Life Choices programmes which take place on Wednesdays, just before lunch, during Term 2 and 3. You may have even indicated this on the enrolment form. Children are free to go home for an early lunch during Life Choices, or can attend alternative activities, in the school, that are organized and run by school staff. To make sure our information is up-to-date please complete the return slip below if your child is not to attend Life Choices and return the slip to school before Thursday 12 th April.
