What’s Next? BEAT THE BOX Complete the following steps before your Starter Kit arrives and you will be off
Beat The Box Checklist 1. Contact me within 48 hours to set up your New Consultant Orientation. Ideally, we will do this in
person, but at times, we have to do it by phone.
During your New Consultant Orientation Appointment we will:
Map out a business plan for you based on how many hours you want to invest in your
business per week.
Talk about what you really want in life. We'll talk about your dreams and goals so you get
exactly what you want out of this life. You have one shot and one life to live your dream life
and you now have the vehicle to make all those dreams come to fruition.
Determine how much income you can expect to make with the plan. Set up your Business Debut...pick a date and plan your next step including creating your
contact/invite list!
We will show you how to fill out an order form. We will work together to pick an inventory package that supports your goals.
2. Fill out the attached "Goal Questionnaire” and bring it with you to Orientation or
email it to me.
3. Watch our Welcome Video and New Consultant Bonuses Video before your
Orientation

4. Download the FREE VOXER App and text me your Voxer username (series of
letters and numbers) to 301-751-3254. This is the fastest way for us to
communicate and it's fun because it's like a walkie‐talkie. My voxer name is
msimon9717 This is how I communicate with 80% of our team, so this will keep us in touch!
5. Purchase a 3‐5 Section spiral notebook.
6. Start your contact list on page 5 of your Welcome Packet or write it in the first section of your Spiral
Notebook. Keep adding names until you have at least 50 contacts. Send your
contact list to Melanie

I was introduced to Mary Kay products by my neighbor’s mother and began using them when I was 17
years old. I just LOVED what they did for my complexion!
I became a hairdresser and later, a stay-at-home mom. I adored my life, but felt I had energy to spare
when my children were in school.
One day, my best friend invited me to a Mary Kay party she was hosting… who could resist? She
surprised me with the news she was going to become a Mary Kay consultant herself. I teased her saying
―only old ladies driving pink Cadillacs sell Mary Kay!‖
She urged me to listen to what the consultant had to say and hear about the Mary Kay plan. I was
amazed. I learned I could make a 50% profit on the products I sold, a 50% discount on the products I
love and use myself, and it wouldn’t take away from my ―mom‖ time!
Of course, I was nervous at first, but the excitement of my first sales and my friends’ enthusiasm helped
me move along my new career path. The Recognition, prizes, mentors and new friends are benefits I
never imagined could be so meaningful.
The years passed and, while fully invested as a Mary Kay Director, I decided to renew my first career and
work in hairdressing again. Although I enjoyed it, I felt torn between my two career loves. At the urging
of my National Sales Director, I attended a Mary Kay Seminar, and it was here I experienced an
epiphany. Mary Kay was the way.
I returned home with renewed confidence in my chosen path. The experience made a big difference in
my business success and in my personal faith. I have a new appreciation for the free education Mary
Kay offers and the endless possibilities of working as my own boss. The amazing women (and men) of
Mary Kay truly want success for everyone!
