MATCHING GIFT CHALLENG FOR

OUR LADY OF THE LAKE PARISH

A generous Catholic family from outside our parish has made us an incredible offer. If families sign up to make weekly/monthly, recurring gifts to OUR parish, the donor family will match those gifts, dollar for dollar.

And, if your family already gives electronically but increases that weekly/monthly gift by any amount, the

donor family will match your entire weekly/monthly gift.

HOW CAN YOU HELP OUR PARISH RECEIVE THIS CHALLENGE DONATION?

1. Go to www.ourladyofthelakeromancatholic.org, then to online giving tab and follow the directions to set up an account. If you have any questions please call Donna at the Parish Office at 928-855-2685. 2. Sign up for scheduled weekly/monthly offertory for the first time OR increase your current scheduled weekly/ monthly offertory. 3. Every gift that is received between June 1- Aug 31, will be matched dollar for dollar!

Michael and Stella give $40 a week to the parish. They write a check and put it a weekly offertory envelope. To help the parish receive this donor match, they go online to their parish on line giving page and sign up to make a monthly recurring gift of $175. The parish then receives a matching additional $175 from the anonymous donor from Phoenix New scheduled weekly/monthly gifts will be matched up to a maximum of $27,060 for our parish.

A few years ago, Gary and Beatrice set up automatic giving to the parish through their credit card, automatically charged $100 a month. To help the parish receive this donor match, they log in to their parish online giving page and increase their gift to $110. The parish then receives an additional $110 from the donor. People who increase their current scheduled weekly/monthly gifts will help us receive up to a maximum of $27,060 for our parish.

Coordinator for Elementary Religious Education Position Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church is looking for a Coordinator of Elementary Religious Education. This job includes coordinating catechesis for elementary school children using the Family Formation and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd model and specifically those preparing for their First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. This position is responsible for implementing the curriculum, parent formation program, coordinating volunteers, working in collaboration with the parish school, and preparing for liturgical celebrations in which the students are involved. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Must demonstrate basic theoretical knowledge and skills in planning, organizing, communicating, administering, managing, and training; must be flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends, as required; must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as required; must have an ability to engage in on going professional formation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and various social media platforms. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be an active, practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church; Completed and up-to-date Safe Environment Program, must have a deep sense and knowledge of the Church’s missionary nature.

Dear Parish Family,

I want to thank you all for your love and support to me and my family for the last 24 years of my employment and serving as a deacon in this community. When I began in November 1996 working in the Religious Education department, I was excited then to be a part of God’s plan in this community of faith. It is through your faith, prayers, and friendship that my family and I have done so well and continue to put God first in our lives.

My family and I are relocating to the Phoenix Metro area in July. I accepted a position as the Director of Religious Education at St. Elizabeth Seton in Sun City West. The reason for our move is to first, follow God’s will, be closer to my family, where we can be a better support for their needs, and an opportunity for all my children to attend Catholic School.

It’s very difficult to leave such a loving parish family where I know that the Holy Spirit is very much alive. We trust in God’s plan for our family and I ask that you continue to keep us in prayer through this transition as I will also keep you all in prayer. We love you very much and are so grateful for all the love you have extended to us.
