DOWNLOAD OUR PARISH APP Our St. Joseph Parish app is available to download for iPhone and Android smart phones.

LIFETEEN IS ALSO THE HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP OF ST. JOSEPH PARISH, DANVILLE!

Parents of St. Joseph Parish highschoolers: Please encourage your teen to attend Lifeteen. We leave the St. Joseph School Parking Lot every Sunday evening at 5:30 PM. and return at 8:30 PM.

Life Teen is open to all high schoolers!!

April 28th Tonight is #4 in the Holiness series: “Eight Keys to Holiness”. Chapter three of Gaudete et Exsultate focuses on the Beatitudes, which Pope Francis refers to as a Christian’s identity card. The Beatitudes are a simple explanation — given to us by Jesus — of how to live a life geared toward holiness. They challenge us to make decisions that purify our hearts and teach us to love God above all things. In order to be a true disciple of Christ, we have to be more than a “nice” person. We have to live out the Beatitudes.

Come and find out some ways to live out the Beatitudes at 6:00 tonight in our Life Teen room. Enter in the back by the school playground.

May 5th Next week, our night is called “Five Necessary Spiritual Attitudes”. I’m sure we’ve all been challenged about our attitude at some point in time. Your parents may have sent you to your room until you “got a new attitude.” A friend may have called you out for being pouty. It is without argument that your attitude impacts your experience of a situation; negativity puts a damper on the experience, while positivity enhances it. Perhaps you’ve been on the receiving end of a negative attitude and know the consequences of spending too much time with that person. It’s not uncommon for someone else’s attitude to affect our attitude — for better or worse. Unsurprisingly, there are certain attitudes, habits, and dispositions that can either help or hinder our journey toward holiness. Come and find out what they are, and how to turn negative attitudes into positive ones. DONATIONS APPRECIATED!!! Thank you to anyone who has graciously donated snacks and monetary gifts to Life Teen. If you would like to help with snack donations, we could use snacks of any kind. Bought or baked…it’s all good. We can also make great use of gift cards: Giant, Weis, Walmart…. We provide pizza and snacks for the teens every week, so if you can help in any way it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so very much!!!

Life Teen meets every Sunday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) in the Life Teen room, located upstairs in the parish center at St. Columba Church, Bloomsburg. Enter through the Parish Library by the school playground in the back of the Church. Food, fun, fellowship, and faith. Come and be a part of this dynamic ministry. Life Night’s are open to high schoolers.

Life Teen Mission Statement Guided by the Holy Spirit, the mission of St. Columba Youth Ministry is to empower young people to develop a personal relationship with Jesus so they can live as Disciples of Christ. Through living a sacramental life, continuing Catholic formation, prayer, sharing of gifts and talents, through service and social activities, young people come to understand who Jesus is and live for Him.

Frequently, families will call for a Sacramental Sponsor Certificate or to have their child baptized and find out they are not on the Parish Census.
