Sacrament of Baptism Registration for the Sacrament of Baptism takes place by meeting with a priest. The child’s Birth Certificate is necessary at the time of registration.

Godparents must each present a Sponsor Certificate, signed by a priest of the Church they attend, stating that they are practicing Catholics & meet all SPONSOR REQUIREMENTS:

AGE 16 OR OLDER CONFIRMED MARRIED IN THE CHURCH (if married) CONSISTENTLY ATTENDING CHURCH (Sundays/Holydays)

Baptism dates cannot be scheduled until the SPONSOR CERTIFICATES are handed in. Parents and Godparents are required to attend one instructional class. Parents must be properly registered parishioners of Christ the King Church.

Parish Membership To be considered active members of CHRIST THE KING PARISH, each family and single adult must:

BE PROPERLY REGISTERED ATTEND SUNDAY MASS AT OUR CHURCH REGULARLY USE OUR WEEKLY ENVELOPES

This is the only way the parish can issue documents that attest to parish membership and Catholic practice.

(EG. SPONSOR CERTIFICATE TO BE A GODPARENT/CONFIRMATION SPONSOR)

New parishioners are requested to register at our parish office when possible. Office hours are 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Visits to the Sick & Homebound EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS are available to visit parishioners who are unable to come to Church due to injury or illness. Please contact the Rectory office (963-7474) to arrange for a home visit to receive the Sacraments.

Sacrament of Marriage Preliminary arrangements should be made at least one year prior to the proposed date of marriage. One of the parties must be a registered member of our parish and speak to a parish priest to enroll in marriage preparatory courses and book the date of their wedding.

As you know, we are trying to help a local gentleman find a boarder/roommate situation located within the North End (and walking distance to our Church). If you have a room to rent please call us in the Rectory office without delay at 963-7474.

2018 MASS BOOK

GENERAL MASS INTENTIONS

On Tuesday, August 8th, the Mass Book

will open for all intentions from

January 1, 2018 - June 30, 2018.

There are a limited number of Sunday

Masses. You may request a total of

1 Sunday Mass and 5 weekday Masses

(for Jan-Jun) when the Mass book opens.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COME TO THE OFFICE IN

PERSON TO SCHEDULE A MASS. We will not

schedule requests by phone, however, you

can send your request by regular mail, drop

it off at the office (we have an after-hours

mail slot in the door) or in the collection

basket (in an envelope marked Mass Request).

BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARY DATES…

If you would like to have a Mass offered

on the birthday or the anniversary date

of a loved one, then please make sure

you request that date before the

Mass Book is opened for all intentions.

We will begin taking Mass requests on

Thursday, August 3rd

for 2018 birthdays & anniversaries

(these dates may be requested for the full year).

If you are sending in a request for a birthday

or anniversary Mass: indicate the NAME of

the person (or family) the Mass is requested

for, if they are LIVING or DECEASED, the DATE

requested and whether it is a BIRTHDAY or

ANNIVERSARY. If the actual date falls on a

Sunday, then also indicate the preferred

Mass time (Sunday Mass requests are limited

to 2 for the year). A STIPEND of $15 per

Mass must accompany your request. YOUR

NAME and PHONE NUMBER must also be

provided for Masses to be scheduled.

Requests that are mailed or dropped off will

be scheduled in the order they are received

after we help the people who come to the

office in person on August 3rd. If the request-

ed date is not available, we will call you to

schedule an alternative date.
