“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.” (Revelation 14:1-2)

The 144,000 in heaven singing a new song. 14:1-5

The 144,000 have been martyred by the Antichrist - Rev. 13:7

“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. “ (Revelation 13:7)

Page 4: Revelation Chapter 14

Revelation is a parenthetical section.• It is a section inserted like a parenthesis in a sentence.• This does not move the events of the section forward, but

explains other events that are happening._________________________________________________• The 144,00 are seen in heaven with Christ the Lamb.• They are on Mt. Sion.• Mount Sion or "Zion" is used in the Bible to refer to Mount

Zion on earth (2 Kings 19:21, Psa. 48, 69:35, 133:3, Isa. 1:8) or to the heavenly Mount Zion (Heb. 12:22 23).‑

_________________________________________________• How do we know these is a heavenly seen?

- The 144,000 are with Christ. Christ is in heaven.- They have been preaching , but now God sends an angel to preach the Gospel and given the final warning to mankind.- The harvest of the unsaved occurs at the Second

The 144,000:

1.They are Jews2.12,000 of each of the 12 Tribes of Israel3.They are virgins4.They follow the Lamb where ever He goes5.These are the first fruits saved from

among men in beginning of the Tribulation

6.In them was no guile (deceit) and were morally blameless

Page 6: Revelation Chapter 14

“These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.” (Revelation 14:4-5)

Revelation 14:6-8

The terrible events of the last "Bowl (Vial) Judgments" are about to rapidly be brought about as the Tribulation is coming to a close. At this point in the Tribulation those that are left on earth are the most hardened of sinners having over and over rejected the message of the grace of God. Still God in loving His creation, sends yet another messenger, an angel from heaven to warn men of coming judgment and destruction. (Rev. 14:6)

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Revelation 14:6-7)

Page 10: Revelation Chapter 14

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, (Revelation 14:8-9)

Babylon is fallen, is fallen!!

Page 11: Revelation Chapter 14

“The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” (Revelation 14:10-11)

Page 12: Revelation Chapter 14

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. “ (Revelation 14:12)

THE PROMISE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE SAINTS.

Page 13: Revelation Chapter 14

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” (Revelation 14:13)

Page 14: Revelation Chapter 14

“And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.” (Revelation 14:14)

• This is the last time Jesus is called the “Son of Man.”

• He comes in all His power as the King of Kings wearing the golden crown and with a sharp sickle in his hand.

• As recorded in Acts 1:9 Jesus descended into heaven on a cloud and the two angels who appeared told the disciple that Jesus would likewise as they saw Him leave return. (Acts 1:10-11)

Page 15: Revelation Chapter 14

Jeremiah predicted this event in which Babylon would be destroyed saying “For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.” (Jeremiah 51:33)

Page 16: Revelation Chapter 14

“Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.” (Joel 3:11-16)

Joel predicted the reaping of the unsaved from the earth when Christ returns at the end of the Tribulation

This is the rapture

of the unsaved!

Page 17: Revelation Chapter 14

God will now begin to reap the tares, which are the unsaved, from the earth. These tares are the false religions, churches, cults and individuals who have deceptively used God’s name to worship and serve Satan. (Matt. 13:25 39, 24:41-‑42) The false religious systems of the world and the Antichrist will be forever destroyed.

Page 18: Revelation Chapter 14

“And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” (Revelation 14:15)

The Tribulation Temple

This angel from from the Tribulation Temple.

Page 19: Revelation Chapter 14

“And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. “ (Revelation 14:16-17)

It is Christ that removes those who rejected Him from the earth.

The angel comes from the temple in heaven.

Page 20: Revelation Chapter 14

Jesus said in Matthew 13:41-42, “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:41-42)

This is the event that Revelation 14:17-20 is revealing.

Page 21: Revelation Chapter 14

“And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.” (Revelation 14:18)

“This last angel comes from the altar, having power over fire and cries to the angel with the sickle to thrust it in and reap the vine of the earth. The significance of this angel having power over fire is seen in that the Lord predicted that the final judgment would be of fire.”

Page 22: Revelation Chapter 14

“And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. “ (Revelation 14:19)

Page 23: Revelation Chapter 14

“And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.” (Revelation 14:20)
