Business
• The company is a full service insurance business with different products and offerings in life, non-life insurance and London markets
• The application in scope manages and maintains both life and non-life insurance policies for High Net Worth individuals
Challenges
• The UK operations had built an independent web front end for claims processing and policy administration, accessing policy data sitting on applications running on AS400 back end
• Business was struggling to manage duplicate transactions, keep and maintain log files and collate transaction details
Our Solution
•Reverside delivered a solution whereby a XML message is received from the front end via MQ, utilizing business specific Java code & Host Publisher (HATS) Integration Objects to integrate the data received from AS400.
•A XML response is passed to the MQ channel for the front end
• The incoming and outgoing message is stored in a DB2 container
•A separate error and transaction logging system was developed to aid application support
