analysis
An ABC production.
Viewer log: This new comedy/horror
hybrid short film coming out soon will
hit the young public. It will mainly
appeal to the male gender ranging from
14 to around 25 where they are in
education or still have time for videos
alongside a possibly having a job. It will
appeal to those from any background
who would most likely watch for part of
a media course or entertainment
purposes. The social class that the
viewers most likely would be would
range from D to C1 due to them having
This short film uses great visuals and sound clips to fit the story showing progression
with the characters and the links between their relationships as just being
professional. The ways the visuals and sounds are used together builds tension for the
viewer with its dark enclosed locations and build ups of sounds with first person
perspectives to make the audience feel they are there and will make you sit on the
edge of your seat to find out what happens next. The mystery makes you want to keep
watching with a great cliff hanger ending leaving what you think happens next down
to the viewer. It is a cleverly thought out and a good flowing film with a few laughs
thrown in here and there for the viewer to be put into a false sense of security.
The ending is left with you wondering what happened after the fight scene and the
outcome of the other characters such as the policeman and detective 2 as he heard
the sounds after the gunshot was fired leaving it down to suggestions of what
happened with viewers being able to talk about it and theorise and sympathise with
characters.
The director is Andrew Bowles who also a member of the cast with the other actors as
Adam Williams, Zane Farley, Jack Roy and Patrick Chandler.

First thoughts
I wasnt sure if the film will
get much attention and no
one would have an interest
in it due to horror having
such a large production
rate, so getting my film
noticed would be an issue.
Conquering fear
I worried whether lighting,
actor and costume choices
would be an issue when
portraying the film. I
wanted to get a dark
mysterious effect with well-
presented scared actors
that the viewer would
understand their role in the
short film.
Brief synopsis:

partnered with another detective named Floyd, tracking down
the killer of two people murdered in an alley way. They are
assisted by a policeman in solving this case but as the short film
progresses so does Waynes insanity until the unexpected

happened to Wayne
