Top: Top shall be constructed of MDF core with plastic laminate writing surface and backer

sheet to provide a balanced construction. Edge shall be 2MM PVC edge. Applied T-band

edging or self-edging shall not be acceptable. Overall top dimension will be 24”W x 24”D.

Book Box: Book box shall be one piece 19-gauge formed steel closed on three sides and open in

the front (student side). Book box shall have an embossed pencil retainer to prevent pencils from

rolling into or out of the book box. The front edge shall be formed at a 45 degree angle to allow

for easy cleaning and all exposed edges shall be hemmed to prevent sharp edges. Book box shall

be attached to the top with (12) 9/16”-10 Robertson pan socket self tapping tamper resistant

screws spaced no more than 5” on center. Book box shall be available in powder coat finish.

Legs: Legs shall be 1-1/8” x 18 gauge square outer steel tube with a 1” x 16-gauge inner square

telescoping steel tube. Outer steel tube extends through the book box to the underside of the top

to provide proper weight distribution. Legs shall be welded to book box with (6) six 4”

continuous welds. Midpoint wrap around back support tubes shall not be acceptable. Upper legs

shall be available in powder coat. Adjustable inner leg shall be available in Chrome finish.

Glides: Glides shall be flush mounted inside fitting poly floor glides.

Color: Color to be selected from manufacturer’s standard fabrics and colors.

WARRANTY: Alumni Classroom Furniture, Inc. warrants all steel fabricated components of its

frames to be free from defect in materials and workmanship under normal use, service and

handling for a period of fifteen (15) years. This warranty does not cover misuse of abuse of the

product. Alumni Classroom Furniture, Inc. reserves the right to inspect the product in question

to assess the cause of damage.

STUDENT MARQUIS STACK CHAIR

Seat & Back: Seat and back shall be 5/8” nominal thermoset plastic. Seat and back shall be

attached with #10 zinc plated, self-threading tapping screws. Attaching screws shall not be

visible on the finished surface of the seat or back. Pop rivets will not be acceptable attaching

hardware for seat and backs. Seat and back colors shall be from manufacturer’s standards.

Frame: All leg and back support tubes shall be 16 gauge tubular steel. Legs shall be 1” x 16-

gauge and the back support tube shall be 1” x 16-gauge. Two (2) 1/8” x 7/8” x 9-3/4” formed

steel mounting bars shall be used to provide flat surfaces on which the seat shall be supported.

welded to form a structurally solid, free standing frame that does not require an x-brace. Chairs

with x-braces shall not be acceptable. “Wall saver” rear leg shall be an integral part of the chair

Education Products brand of demountable interior wall products. Framing to consist of 2 x 4 wood stick framing. Insulation is R-13, fully encapsulated and has a sound reduction/noise co-efficiency rating of .84 with 1.0 being the highest. Surface is Panafill or Celotex acoustic wall board covered in 15 ounce fabric-backed vinyl fabric.
