Public Notice-Gir Somnath As per provisions of CRZ Notification 2011, every coastal State Government/SCZMA has to prepare the State Coastal Zone Management Plan for their respective State in accordance with the guidelines and procedures laid down there under. The State Government in Forest and Environment Department has entrusted the work for preparation of coastal Zone Management Plan for Gujarat through Gujarat Ecology Commission. Now the National Center for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM), Chennai has prepared and submitted draft plan for GirSomnath.

Further to this, as per the provisions of CRZ Notification, 2011, the draft CZMPs should be submitted by the State Government for approval of the MOEFCC, GOI should also include appropriate consultations, in accordance with procedure(s) laid down in the E(P) Act, 1986. Accordingly, the Gujarat Pollution Control Board has been requested to conduct public consultation.

There for It is hereby informed that as per Public Hearing has been fixed for Draft Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP), for Taluka of Costal area of Kodinar, Patan-Veraval, Sutrapada and Una, District of GirSomnath. All local affected persons of the Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) are requested to remain present in the public hearing or send their response in writing to Member Secretary, Gujarat Pollution Control Board before the hearing date.

Other concerned persons having a plausible stake in environment aspects of the project or activity can submit their responses to Member Secretary, GPCB in writing before the hearing date.

It may be noted that, draft Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) and the Executive Summary of the plan has been sent to the following authorities or offices to make it available for inspection to the public during normal office hours, till the Public Hearing is over.
