Power Rewinder Instructions The power label and label liner rewinder in- cludes a 120 VAC (or 220 VAC for Europe) to 12 VDC power supply. The rewinder has been designed to work with desktop bar code print- ers. Step Rewinder Placement Place the rewinder on a flat surface. The re- winder and printer both use separate external power supplies. Do Not Apply Power to the Printer or Re- winder. Verify that the power cords and supplies can be placed and routed safely during use. The printer, rewinder, and power supplies should never be operated in a location where they can get wet.     StepRewinder

    Placement

    Place the rewinder on a flat surface. The re-winder and printer both use separate externalpower supplies.

  • Step Remove the tape securing the rewind clip fromthe label rewinder tube. Slide the rewind clipoff and set it aside.

    Place the printer on the rewinders printer ped-estal. Push the printer up against the stop.

    Printer

    Plug in the printer and apply power to theprinter only.

    Load the printer with labels.

    StepThread the

    Liner (and Labels)

    Feed the label media until two (2) or moreinches of label liner reach beyond the label re-winder tube.

    Center the printer to align liner/label leader onthe center of the rewinder tubes ribs. For labelliners two (2) or more inches wide the rewindertubes ribs will be covered.

    Liner/Labels

    Slide the rewind clip over the liner and on tothe label rewind tube. Fold the liner back to-wards the printer.

    StepHand Wind

    To Start

    While pressing the printers label feed button,hand turn the label rewind tube. Turn the labelliner from the top to the front, until it has com-pleted one or more rotations.

    Selection Switch

    Set the rewinders media selection switch tomatch the width of the roll.

    StepApplying

    RewinderPower

    Turn the power switch off (O=Off). Plug in thepower supply and insert the rewinders powersupply connector into the rewinders power re-ceptacle.

    Flip the power switch to the On position(I= On).

    With power on, the rewinders motor designkeeps tension on the media liner while stoppedand even allows the operator to hand wind it inthe reverse direction.

    Labels

    Press the printers feed button and re-adjust theprinter and label liner to wind the liner straight.

    For labels 2" orwider:

    The rewinder includes two (2) snap-on mediaguides to help the labels roll straight. Usage ofthese guides is optional, but recommended forrewinding labels wider than two (2) inches.

    The media guides are not necessary forrewinding label liner (without labels) whileoperating the printer in the peel mode.

  • StepFine Tune LabelRoll Alignment

    Press the printers feed button or start printinglabels. Slide the printer from side to side, as re-quired, to square the label liner on the tubeslabel roll. Slide the media guides into the labelliner to remove excess space and to squarethem to the tube and label roll.

    Disconnect the power to stop label rewinding.Slide the rewind clip out of the rewind tube andlabel roll. Remove the media guides. Slide thelabel roll off the rewind tube.
