Traditional Marketing & AdvertisingRed Rokk Interactive is also a marketing and communications firm that knows how to solve problems for the brands we serve. Whether it is traditional

media, public relations, creative execution or something else altogether, we review the seemingly complex and strive to make it intuitive and simple to

communicate. Our team has many years of experience managing well-known brands such as The Home Depot, Toys “R” Us, Mazda, McDonald’s,

Verizon Wireless and many more. What this means to our clients is that we have developed an unyielding belief that excellence is the price of entry for

any idea or campaign that is released to the public. Red Rokk is an idea factory that champions business acumen – along with having fun.

Retail Marketing FocusOur team also has a lot of retail experience that includes managing the Saks and Parisian department store brands - where weekly and monthly sales

campaigns that targeted women resulted in creating consumer expectations that became habitual. By offering exceptional merchandise, great value

and a welcoming atmosphere we helped make the Parisian department store chain the preferred destination for the target audience.

Digital Media MarketingA custom website design is one of the most important assets a company can have. This single piece of marketing will act as a brochure, product

catalog and lead generator all while building trust and confidence that Pacific Place is professional, and its website easy to navigate and use for both

new visitors and long-time customers. Our belief is that a good web design portrays the brand of the company and the message it wants to convey.

Furthermore, a great website design does all of this by building the necessary confidence and trust to help convert the user into a loyal customer.

Executive SummaryWe are excited for the opportunity to present our proposal to Pacific Place. The Red Rokk team will work diligently to earn your trust and help Pacific Place become the center of activity in downtown Seattle and the South Lake Union neighborhood.

Page 17: RFP

16Pacific Place // Executive Summary

In this RFP, Pacific Place has requested that Red Rokk review five priorities that include increasing marketing impact, generating more foot traffic with a

particular focus on restaurants and the movie theatres.

Pacific Place has also identified the South Lake Union residential and business community as a high priority target audience that will be engaged by a

refreshed website and by connecting with the right blend of traditional and social media platforms.

To meet the goals outlined by Pacific Place, Red Rokk is capable of overseeing, developing and executing marketing functions that include:

To meet the goals outlined by NLT, Red Rokk will do the following:

// Marketing planning for Fall and Holiday season 2013

// Marketing plan for 2014

// Redesign the Pacific Place website

// Optimize the site for viewer engagement

// Develop local marketing plans for neighborhoods including South Lake Union community

// Develop a mobile site that is intuitive and informative

// Extend consistent Pacific Place branding across all social media platforms

Marketing & PlanningPacific Place

Page 19: RFP

18Pacific Place // Requirements

Pacific Place is a premiere downtown destination in the heart of Seattle. As a shopping experience, Pacific Place offers a wide choice of specialty

stores that cater to women and the downtown office scene.

At Red Rokk we understand how to connect with the customer whether they are online, on the street or at the office wondering what to do for lunch.

By developing special retail focused incentives that that target audience can immediately identify with, we are always thinking about how people

interact with their peers and how we can encourage them to share their experiences - whether it’s for lunch, checking out the latest movie or the gift

certificate they want to enjoy.

The real challenge is knowing how to intercept the shopper with the right mix of traditional media (and where) along with social media and online

incentives that become anticipated and highly sought after. This is where Red Rokk excels at creating compelling, “call-to-action” based marketing

that incentivize and reward the shopper for participating.

social media outreach and advertising that will help promote the new website and the Pacific Place brand.

Our Process Step I: Strategy & Research

Step II: Creative Exploration & Design Step III: Quality Assurance and Testing

Step IV: Support & Maintenance Step V: Ongoing Evaluation & Improvement

Step VI: Marketing and Promotion

Page 23: RFP

22Pacific Place // Our Process - Step I

Step I: Strategy & Research Because great design begins with an understanding of your needs, we start by asking questions. In fact, we will ask a lot of questions. We work hard

to understand your brand image, goals, audience, project parameters and desired outcomes. This RFP is the result of our research on the Pacific Place

mall’s audience (women 40+, families and office workers) as well as the South Lake Union community. We also studied the local competition and what

other malls are doing to attract a constant flow of visitors.

Research from a 2011 Downtown Demographics Report shows that the South Lake Union Deny triangle has experienced over 300% growth since 1990.

The largest demographic are the 25 - 34 year old’s who make up 34% of the total population followed by 35 - 44 at 16%. The median HH income is

$30,662 and at least 34% have an education level of a BA or more.

In addition, it si important to recognize that the downtown core is the most ethnically diverse part of Seattle with Asians growing the fastest at 15% of the

population.

Source: Downtown Seattle Association, 2011

At this stage of the process, we will provide or elaborate on:

// A detailed timeline that outlines key milestone dates and times for review, feedback and approval as the project progresses toward the

agreed upon launch date;

// A site map for the high-level flow of pages, content and products;

// A detailed discussion focusing on Pacific Place’s online goals and customer demographics;

// Mobile responsive design – features and requirements;

// Gather and review all needed text and Pacific Place images and review if new photography exists or needs to be procured.

Step II: Creative Exploration & DesignThis is where Red Rokk introduces intuitive thinking into our problem-solving process. Through market research and collaborative discourse,

we develop ideas that will express your core message in a visual manner. Every decision, from layout and color, to font and style, is made with

your communication and branding goals in mind. The standout ideas are chosen for development into initial concepts and are further refined.

Once a website page mock-up is ready, we will present the initial concepts to the Pacific Place team and will then turn the chosen concepts into

comprehensive design directions.

At this stage, we will provide:

// 2-3 Website Design Concepts

// Mobile platform design for smartphone and tablet

// Up to 3 Design Refinement Rounds

Step III: Quality Assurance and TestingAt Red Rokk, we have a dedicated QA process where products are thoroughly tested both prior to launch and throughout the lifespan of the project.

We implement a staging process where are all updates are created and tested within a beta environment prior to be pushed to the live website. This

will ensure that the customer has the best user experience possible.

When the project nears completion, Red Rokk and the Pacific Place team review the entire website for any potential errors. Any errors found will be

documented. After this, a second team will repeat the process to determine if any errors were generated by the system or the user. The development

team will then fix the error and send it back to QA for further testing. This process is will continue until the system is error free.

Upon completion of QA, Pacific Place will sign off on the website, and a launch date will be scheduled. Launch dates are scheduled between Monday

and Wednesday, which avoids the weekend while also allowing the development team sufficient time to troubleshoot any issues.

Step IV: Support & Maintenance (Recommended – not part of scope of work)

Red Rokk will be available to Pacific Place staff Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of our monthly ongoing support and

management recommendation. After Pacific Place’s website has been launched, Red Rokk will provide at a total of 16 hours for follow-up service for

questions and trouble shooting over a 30-day period.

Step VI: Marketing and Promotion

Page 29: RFP

28Pacific Place // Our Process - Step V / VI

Once the refurbished Pacific Place website is up and running, we will be monitoring users and the navigation habits they develop. We will use analytics

from user’s usage and seek out issues and provide answers so that the user experience becomes more intuitive. In addition to the request for

embedded customer service features, Red Rokk will recommend areas of the website for call-to-action buttons that will help move the viewer toward a

sale or to sign-up.

The NLT new streamlined checkout process will be continually evaluated and will include new product bundling options as well as easy payment

features that will encourage prospects to complete the sale.

We will review the entire website and assess the areas that are working, and where users may have questions about what to do next or if they are

looking for specific information. This is an evolving process that requires analysis and may involve subtle A-B testing to see what feature, button or call

to action will yield the best results.

Step VI: Marketing and PromotionUpon successful launch of the website, Red Rokk can assist NLT in developing an online and offline marketing program that will help create awareness

of the new website, driving traffic, converting customers and generating referrals.

Our team will sit down with you to discuss your marketing goals in order to develop the most effective campaign for your budget. On average,

campaigns last between 6-12 months and although the cost of the campaign is not included in the current scope of work, it is completely optional.

Step V: Ongoing Evaluation & Improvement

Fully Responsive DesignCreated a system that would work seamlessly for mobile and desktop users. In addition, the site includes full functionality for a social website and forum.

Concept to Production Brought to us as a concept, Red Rokk was responsible for creating content maps, wireframes, style guides, style tiles, design, and programming.

Fully Responsive Design

For any social networking community – mobile is a must. So we built a

responsive site that allowed users to choose which device they wanted

to use. Finally, while the content flow and layout may have changed, the

features and functionality did not.

Concept to ProductionStarting out as just an idea, we were hired to make it a reality. That meant

creating a new user experience from the ground up. Everything from the

sitemap and wireframes to the full site build was done in-house at Red

Rokk.

we built a custom admin interface that allowed
