The rules are pretty simple: go where you are supposed to be and stay there. You wont be able to see a teacher last minute, run to the library, or go grab something from your locker. Plan in advance and come prepared this is a basic life skill!

The only time a paper pass will be accepted is if you are being summoned from an office.3Starting next Week (September 25th )YOU get to use the Advocate Portal to sign up to attend these various meetingsYou can only confirm to attend one meeting per WednesdayYou must confirm your attendance for Advocate by midnight each Tuesday locked in at that timeIf you do not confirm (RSVP) to a meeting, you must report to your Home AdvocateYou can confirm for days in the future

Starting next week, youll have the freedom to decide where youll be going each day during Wednesday iChoose Advocate by using the Student Advocate Portal. As you will see, the Advocate Portal will only allow you to confirm one meeting each Wednesday and will lock students out by midnight Tuesday. If you dont sign up for a meeting in the Portal, it will automatically default for you to attend Home Advocate.

Additionally, if youre a planner, you can confirm to attend meetings for days in the future. For example, if youre a Student Council member and know when all the Student council meetings are scheduled, you can sign up for all of them at one time.4Go to Adv.leanderisd.org orClick onenter the portal

You can sign up, or think of it as an RSVP, for a meeting during Wednesday iChoose Advocate using either your smart phone or by logging on to the computer. Simply type in Adv.leanderisd.org or head to the Parent/Student Resources page and look for the Advocate Portal link.5

You will be prompted for a username & password. Use the same username & password that you use to login in to the school computers. Remember if you havent changed your password yet it should be your birthday (year, month, day). Otherwise use your CURRENT password. 6

Make sure to select the correct day

Once logged in, youll see a screen with your name on it and a calendar. First, be sure to select the correct date. Once the date is selected, all available tutorials or clubs located on the right hand side under Other Meetings. If you see (Restricted) by any meeting, only the sponsor can confirm you in that meeting. If you see a blue link you can schedule yourself for that meeting by simply clicking on it.

Also know that teachers have the ability to set a maximum for a tutorialonce it is full, you can no longer schedule that tutorial for that day.

So, lets say for this day, I want to RSVP that Ill be in Tutorials with Ms.Thailing simply click on itthen7Study Groups

You can see that Tutorials are now listed as confirmed for this day. Again, you can only confirm for ONE meeting a day.

So, once you have confirmed for a meeting, that meeting will appear under Confirmation. What that means is you MUST BE in that meeting during Wednesday iChoose Advocate. Again, you have until midnight Tuesday to confirmall students will be locked out of the Advocate Portal at midnight Tuesday.8

If you fail to confirm before midnight, you will automatically be defaulted to your Home Advocate for that day. And hey, if you forget to sign up, theres always next Wednesday!
