Steps to an Awesome Oboe Sound!

1) Pout your bottom lip out.

2) Place the heart of the reed on the center of your

bottom lip.

3) Roll your lips in over the reed and cover your teeth.

4) Bring your corners toward the invisible line in front of your face, saying “ooo.”

5) Breathe through your mouth by lifting your top lip

off of the reed, keeping your embouchure set…

6) Use “laser beam air” and “sizzle air” and PLAY!
