Cycle Torque has taken groups of riders to Vietnam a number of times and everyone has come back saying how wonderful it is. And we’ve always travelled with Vietnam Motorcycle Tours, a Vietnamese-based company run by an Australian.

With english-speaking local guides, many years of experience and modern motorcycles, travelling Vietnam with Vietnam Motorcycle Tours is the ONLY way to see the country.

Vietnam Motorcycle Tours is based in Nha Trang, a beautiful coastal town with lots of great bars, comfortable accommodation, clean beaches and none of the ridiculous traffic you’ll find in the big cities, so it’s a great place to discover Vietnam and get used to your ride - late model Lifan motorcycles, not unreliable ageing Russian junk some of the local hire companies want to rent to tourists.

With your luggage in the support truck, the riding is easy as your guides take you across the countryside using bitumen roads up into the Mountains, along parts of the now-sealed Ho Chi Minh trail - roads rarely accessed by tourists. The scenery is spectacular and the pace moderate, so you can take it all in. There are plenty of photo (and coffee!) stops, and the bikes can happily carry a pillion passenger if you want to bring a friend or partner.

Western-style accommodation is included, as are most meals, and there’s always an interpreter around to help out if you’re trying to work out what to order. The food in Vietnam is fantastic, with delicate flavours, generous serves and best of all, the beer is cheap!
