CENTRAL VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Today, we celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Ridgeline High School. Today, we celebrate an important milestone on our path to appropriate-sized high schools for all our students. Today, we begin the journey of creang new stories for our school district community. Stories of Central Valley Bears, Mica Peak Wolverines, Ridgeline Falcons, Spokane Valley Tech Innovators, and University Titans. Stories of our Central Valley community as a whole. Together, we are CVSD.
We are here today to celebrate a new high school that already has a long history. As early as 1978, past school boards, superintendents, administrators, parents, and community leaders had the foresight to begin and connue planning for a third comprehensive high school in the Central Valley School District.
I am grateful we live in a community that connues to place its trust in the Central Valley School District and a community that supports and values educaon. We will connue to earn that trust by welcoming students to Ridgeline High School in the fall of 2021 to a praccal, funconal, great looking, and well-built new high school.
We are honored to have you join us as we break ground on Ridgeline High School!
The purpose of this event is to provide an interacve opportunity for our enre community to get excited about this historical moment. A new high school is so much more than a building. While the walls will be going up soon, it is the people working behind the scenes that will be creang the culture and climate that will excite and movate our future Ridgeline Falcon students!

QUICKFACTS
Over 430 name and mascot ideas, along with their raonale, were gathered. A commiee reviewed all the submissions and Ridgeline High School rose to the top because of its geographic surroundings. “It is a powerful name that represents the beauty of the views of the hills surrounding the school site to the north, south and east.” –Jesse Hardt, Principal.
