The patented DraftEye draft survey solution uses LiDAR technology, a remote sensing method that measures distance to an object using a pulsed laser, to provide accurate weight determination and draft measurement. DraftEye calculates the draft of the barge accurately, efficiently and safely, without the use of personnel on the barge. DraftEye features an easy to understand user interface and integrated data acquisition system, which can even be accessed remotely. Customized software and rugged hardware are housed in an enclosure, allowing easy and convenient use of the draft survey results by operators.

X-Factor™ Barge Cover Handling System

X-Factor is a safe, efficient, “No Boots on the Barge” patent-protected system for barge cover handling that prevents the need for human assistance. X-Factor quickly, efficiently and safely removes fiberglass barge covers without exposing terminal operators to the hazard of physically being on the product barge. Using a series of polyester slings, cameras, and automatic safety hooks, the barge cover’s D-ring/hook assembly is engaged and released utilizing a remote-control visual display panel. The camera system guides the operator, providing reference points for any portion of the lid connection that falls out of the line of sight. X-Factor received the Portland Cement Association (PCA) Safety Innovation Award in 2018.
