Right to Life - LIFESPAN applauds the U. S. House of Representatives for their re-cent vote for the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act which would prohibit abortions after the 5th month of pregnancy. Unborn babies at this stage of de-velopment are capable of experiencing the excruciating pain of the abortion technique used to end their lives. Sixteen states have already enacted similar laws that ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. We encourage the Senate to follow the lead of the House of Representatives and pass similar legislation. President Trump has said that he would sign such a measure if it was brought to his desk.
