DESCRIPTION
3-wheeled car projectTRANSCRIPT
COMMON NEEDSRiksha fills a need: it provides regulated, on demand shuttle services to commuters that is far more flexible than a standard transit system but also offers the consistency of this system. But in filling a need Riksha has also created a need. Riksha needs to recharge regularly through the day, but where does it do this? Common charging stations along frequently used routes actas stops for passengers to hail a vehicle. This gives riders more options: they can specially order vehicles via phone or simply
walk to a nearby charging station, which in many cases may be faster than waiting for a vehcle ordered by phone.
AUTOMATARiksha runs on an almost completely automated system. No drivers
are required because the entire system can be monitored and operatedby a few employees thanks to smart GPS systems and object tracking sensors that ensure the vehicles never experience a collision. This also
allows the vehicle to carry two passengers rather than only one.
