Course Descriptions

i2 Crime Science Investigation (CSI)

Learn how to process a crime scene, gather

evidence, and analyze data.

(1)Examining how law enforcement uses science to catch criminals, students become members of a crime scene unit, learning how to process a crime scene, gather evidence, and analyze data.

(2) Students gain hands-on experience with fingerprints, hair and fiber analysis, dental impressions, tool marks, and much more!!

i2 Medical-Surgical Techniques

Learn what it is really like to be a physician or

surgeon.

(1) Investigating how the body works, students participate in a range of hands-on activities, such dissections and the construction of life-sized physiological system maps.

(2)They conduct simulated surgeries, perform biopsies, and practice suturing. They also learn about medical and surgical breakthroughs, practicing the types of problem-based learning taught in medical school.

Intro to Geometry

Get ahead in math.

(1)Students receive a foundation in the topics for the first four chapters of Geometry, setting them up for increased success in mathematics.

(2)Topics covered will include lines, segments, and angles; an introduction to writing two-column proofs; parallel lines; and triangles.

(3)Algebra review and appropriate study skills for math will be included throughout the course.

teacher.

Intensive Algebra Review

Intended to provide credit for completion of a full Algebra I

course

Advance your future in mathematics.

(1)Open to students who have had broad exposure to Algebra I but do not yet demonstrate readiness for Geometry or Algebra 2. Students must be able to learn in a fast-paced environment and work independently.

(2)Gives students a strong background in advanced algebra topics such as quadratic functions, polynomial operations, radicals, and rational expressions

(3)Online component and face to face

(4)Assessments, quizzes, homework and final exam required
