By establishing this framework, we are developing skills, making changes to the school environment, acknowledging appropriate behavior, and using data to identify supports for our students. As a PBIS Model School, we demonstrate a commitment to positive and equitable outcomes for all students!

The mission of the Athletic Department and Extracurricular Activities at Manatee Middle School is to aid in the academic, and physical development of our students through the promotion of teamwork, sportsmanship and athletic competition. Every after-school program at Manatee Middle School is believed to be a valuable asset to the total education process; therefore, the program operates within the same objectives and goals of the overall educational program. Research has shown that athletics and extracurricular activities at the middle school level help to foster team building skills, problem solving skills, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Through the development of these skills and the R.O.A.R. expectations, it is believed that our students will become confident, contributing members of the school community.
