a bin, or if they do not have tissues, cough, and sneeze into the crook of their elbow.

They must then follow the guidance on self-isolation and not return to the venue until their period of self-isolation has been completed.

Any attendees to the premises who display symptoms must be asked to leave the premises.

Contact with personnel suspected of having caught COVID-19 will be avoided.

Request that the individual be tested as per the test and trace guidelines

If a positive test is given, assess all other employees who may have been in contact with the individual for 15 minutes or over and then follow the current government self-isolation and test and trace guidelines

Isolate the area/s that the individual has spent time in for 24 hours

Following the 24-hour isolation of the areas, carry out a full deep clean of each area before any work re-commences within those areas

Areas / items that have been accidently touch must be thoroughly cleaned. Please see cleaning section below

They must wash their hands thoroughly for 20 seconds after any contact with someone who is unwell with symptoms consistent with coronavirus infection.

o Good ventilation (i.e. keeping the windows open) and facing away from each other may help to reduce the risk of transmission

o The vehicle should be cleaned regularly using gloves and standard cleaning products, with particular emphasis on handles and other areas where passengers may touch surfaces

o Employees should be advised to wear face coverings

Hand cleaning facilities to be provided at all entrances and exits for the venue or employees to be told to wash their hands immediately when entering.

Emergency procedure to be reviewed and communicated on how someone taken ill would get home or to hospital

For employees having to use public transport, issuing PPE should be considered. This would include hand sanitisers, nitrile gloves and face protection

Employees will wear face coverings when front of house.

A maximum of 15 people should be in attendance, not including staff.

Seating will be arranged in a manner that ensures social distancing can be followed e.g. removing face to face seating and maintaining a distance of 2 metres where possible (households can sit together).

Ceremonies will be kept as short as possible.

Customers will be required to wear a face covering in all areas where they are not sat down to eat or drink unless they fall under an exemption.

No signing or chanting should be permitted. If it is required for ceremonial purposes, then only one person should do so, and the use of plexiglass screens should be considered to protect guests.

Only spoken responses should be carried out, with minimal raising of voices.

Instruments that are blown into will not be permitted. Organs can be played however they must be cleaned before and after use.

5 3 15 H Where queuing is unavoidable, outdoor spaces will be used where available and safe.

Outside queues will be managed to ensure they do not cause risk to individuals, other businesses or additional security risks. Adjustments will be provided for disabled customers.

Where possible, a one-way system will be adopted for entering, walking through to the ceremony, and leaving the premises. The route to take will be clearly signed throughout.

Guidance provided on social distancing and hygiene to attendees on arrival with signage, and where possible before arrival such as by phone or by email.

Seating arrangements will be agreed beforehand where possible to reduce the need to adjust and handle seating upon entrance to the ceremony.

Entrance to the ceremony will be one person / household at a time. They will take their seat before others are allowed.

Attendees will be encouraged to use hand sanitiser or handwashing facilities as they enter the ceremony.

5 3 15 H Any pre-requisite washing/ablution rituals should not be done at the venue but carried out prior to arrival.

In the rare circumstances where this is not possible, washing facilities at the venue will be used in line with social distancing guidelines and hygiene measures applied.

People will not be permitted to not wash the body parts of others.

Where rituals or ceremonies require water to be applied to the body, small volumes can be splashed onto the body, but full immersion will be avoided. Others present should stand distant from any splashes and stay socially distanced. All individuals involved should thoroughly wash their hands before and after and ensure good hygiene.

5 3 15 H The touching and/or kissing of devotional and other objects that are handled communally is prohibited. Where shared items are required for the solemnisation of the marriage or the formation of the civil partnership, hands should be washed before and after. The items should be handled by as few people as possible. Barriers or clear signage will be put in place where necessary.

Books, reusable and communal resources such as service sheets, prayer mats, or devotional material will be removed from use. Single use alternatives can be provided as long as they are removed by the attendee. Items owned by individuals for use in the ceremony or registration (such as a prayer mat or religious text, a pen for the signing of the register) may be brought in but should be removed after the marriage or civil partnership.

Cash donations will be prohibited with online giving resources being used where possible therefore minimising contact around transactions. Regular cleaning and hygiene should be maintained, and gloves worn to handle cash.

when travelling to and from the welfare facility.

Small facility will be one in one out with occupied signage installed on the outside of the main door for clear reference.

Large facilities where social distancing is possible will remove every other cubical, sink and urinal from use to maintain social distancing.

Increase cleaning regime for toilet facilities particularly door handles, locks, and toilet flush. Regularly check soap and sanitiser levels.

Bin to be emptied on a regular basis

First aiders must make sure that they wash their hands or use a 70% alcohol gel, before and after treating a casualty.

Ensure that they do not cough or sneeze over a casualty when treating them.

CPR - cardiopulmonary resuscitation If an adult is unresponsive and not

breathing normally, call 999 or 112 for emergency help and start CPR straight away.

Do not perform rescue breaths on the casualty when performing CPR!

Before you start CPR, use a towel or piece of clothing, and lay it loosely over the mouth and nose of the casualty

All non-disposable equipment used must be thoroughly cleaned with antiviral agents immediately after use.
