Visa documents
As we approach the middle of the term, the weather has certainly begun to change,
greeting students with cool, wet and windy conditions on Friday. Regardless of the
conditions, the activities across the campus continue to increase with the swimming
program continuing and the dance program being undertaken on Monday and Tuesdays
by the students from Pre Primary to Year 5. The dance concerts will be occurring on
Monday 25 June and Thursday 28 June, beginning at 2.00pm.
Parents are reminded that our School Development Day is on Friday 1 June (this
coming Friday) and it will be a pupil-free day. Students are not to come to school on that
day. Please also note that Monday 4 June is a public holiday (WA Day) and the school will
be closed. School will begin again on Tuesday 5 June with pyjama day for a gold coin
donation.
Our older students have been working hard practising in a number of sports in preparation
for the upcoming sporting carnivals, including the League Tag carnival, the Eagles Cup
fixtures and also the Winter Carnival. Mr Brooks, Mrs London, Mrs West and Mr Smeed
have been out there training and helping the students to hone their skills.
Meanwhile our choir continues to practise regularly, as they prepare for the children’s
“Act, Commit, Belong” music festival being held in the Octagon Theatre at the University
of Western Australia later this term. Mr Davey has the choir working enthusiastically as a
team, developing their confidence and their skills in the lead up to this annual event. We
wish them well. They will be performing on 13 June and after their choral performance
they will have a relaxing lunch in Kings Park. It is wonderful to have a choir that provides
our students with musical opportunities and the chance to perform in front of a large
audience.
Congratulations to all the Honour Award winners at the Senior Assembly last week, which
was one again led by our talented and confident student leaders. I am always proud and
pleased to see our leaders in the school doing so well and completing these tasks with
aplomb. Similarly, I have been impressed with our hardworking sports leaders who work
closely with Mr Brooks every day to help prepare resources and playing areas for our
physical education classes.

You are invited to complete a short survey to help them understand what is important to you, what is working well and what could be made better. We have had a ranger out this morning marking cars in the bays that surround the school. This is a reminder to all parents to take notice of the parking times when you park. They will be issuing parking fines for any car that breeches these time limits. Please see below tips when parking around the school and to make yourself aware of the meaning of the signs.
