Fall in Riverview is my favourite time of year. The warm temperatures and scenic nature trails beg you to get out and enjoy the changing season. With children heading back to school, this is the ideal time of year for the whole family to try something new. Whatever your age, our staff in the

Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Relations have an affordable program designed to help you keep active year-round. Explore the guide to discover a sport or leisure activity to suit your needs and busy schedule! On behalf of Riverview Town Council and staff, I invite you to take advantage of the many recreation programs and special events the town has to offer.

Ann Seamans,Mayor of Riverview

The Parks, Recreation and Community Relations Department presents to you another exciting array of programs, services and events to keep you and your family healthy, entertained and active during Autumn. You can find some of these options between the covers of our annual Fall Activity Guide. Cooler

weather does not limit your activity to the indoors. Getting outside provides a change of scenery and allows you to experience another facet of nature as floral colors become more vibrant, while the morning and evening air becomes increasingly brisk. You can walk, run or bicycle our many trails, join your canine family member at the dog park, resume your commitment to fitness, attend a swim class, learn to skate, or participate in Harvest Festival events designed for the whole family. On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you, and I extend an invitation to continue partnering with us in providing our residents of all ages, a great place to grow.

Gerry Cole,Director of Parks, Recreation & Community Relations
