Global Report Initiative
Being responsible is a fundamental objective for our business. We are the first UK property consultancy to be Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) checked. The GRI is the most internationally recognised sustainability reporting framework and is used by more than 5,000 companies. Our Corporate Responsibility process is based on industry best practice and delivered with ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environmental) and IIP (people) assurance.
RLB Charter
We encourage staff involvement in social and environmental activities through the RLB Charter. This initiative supports staff who wish to voluntarily sign up and commit to an action over a specific timeframe which will deliver a community and/or environmental benefit. Through recording staff commitments, RLB is able to promote, support, recognise, and reward staff efforts.
Responsible Management
Wider sustainability considerations will transform what we build, what we build with and how we build it. Our service philosophy is based on ‘Responsible Management’ a commitment to delivering more efficient, cost conscious and environmentally sustainable results which save our clients’ money and reduce their impacts.
Whole life costing, carbon reduction, energy management and estate rationalisation are important to our customers as ethical, legislative and economic pressures drive a commercial approach to the sustainability agenda. We support our customers by offering a three stage flexible assessment which combines corporate and socially responsible business improvement, carbon efficiency and property asset management.
Corporate Responsibility
“Our challenge at Mount Pleasant was
the full refurbishment of numerous
building services systems which had
developed over the decades. These
major works had to occur while
keeping the facility fully functional –
as one of Royal Mail’s largest sorting
offices, business continuity was vital.”
